Old FOL Letter from the EK, The way we were Options

Came across an old fan club letter (hard copy) back from the late MJ/early TC days. I wonder how different this letter would read if it were written today!

Dear Friend,

I used to dread the day Live's mail would have to succumb to a form letter rather than a personal response. And that day is upon us. This is due to the shear number of pieces we receive coupled by the fact that we are busier than ever and rarely in one place long enough to even think about responding to every letter we get. However, WE READ EVERYTHING!

I'm enjoying a mixture of emotions about this which include, of course, some regret but also the tremendous joy of receiving letters by the hundreds from places I've never even heard of. Chad, Chad, Pat and I were talking while reading the latest batch and Chad Taylor said to me, "This really brings it home." And it truly does. We've always sought a personal connection with the people who come to the band and the honesty and sincerity of the letters we get is literally flooring. Merely thanking you seems petty to me, so I won't. I do, however, and I speak on behalf of the band, hope you will continue your relationship with Live.
