I definitely wish Ed could have found some angst again instead of love shines and all that. The old Ed and this music would have been the album we've all been waiting for since TDTH for some, SS for others.

I totally understand that people get older and change. I'm happy for Ed that he has found peace and happiness. But there is still pain in the world. Injustice. Heartache. Those things are worth singing about too.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the sampler. TGF is gonna be a good band.




Too much esctasy.....too few ideas..............graciously we have a choice!!!!

and I think that these all sound like Candlebox - i cant help it, I know its Gracey playing but the tone and structure is Candlebox all the way...having said that its 8 audio samples and I like them all!

Now that's just silly. tongue.gif I'm sure a lot of people will be saying this, but outside of two of the samples (the closing track being the worst offender) there is a great deal of difference between this and Candlebox musically. Clearly Kevin has a specific writing style and certain keys to sing in but there is a lot more happening here.

Wow! I thought Ed's new music was terrible, and then I heard these samples! I can not even describe how dissapointed I am. I really want to like the band, but this is absolute garbage.

That's interesting! Garbage is what Ed has been producing in the last ten years. TGF samples are rock at its best, or to put that better, grunge at its best. But obviously TGF cannot satisfy everyone. If you do not like TGF then just drop it and don't folllow.

I ripped the samples to a cdr to listen in my car and wow...............the hard driving sound is undeniable....totally awesome to hear this magic coming through the speakers. I opened the windows waiting in line at the car wash to let unassuming ears hear...... lol.gif

TGF has already reached "songs stuck randomly in my head" status. cant get track 3 out of my head, all 10 seconds of it!!
