Yes! I treated myself to it once, but somehow it's got stuck in my head. Like with Herald Moth I'm trying to make the album as fresh as possible when I hear it. I have heard, (and love) Heartkiller numerous times however. Speaking of Herald Moth, I presume you like? It's a great record. Hopefully see the boys in Cambridge in May.

So now is not the best time to tell you all of Screamworks is on HIM's youtube? I couldn't wait as I know I'll love it just as much when my CD copy arrives. I've listened to it about 5 times today. It took me a hellish long time to get into Venus Doom, which is now one of my favourite albums. But this one is far more immediate and it's right what more than one reviewer has commented on... "Hot, horny, nownownow!"

I LOOOOVE! I adore InMe more and more the further along in their career they get. I only wish more people felt the same as the band deserve far more positive press/exposure/fans than they have/get. Best band I have ever seen live too. Sadly can't make it to a gig this tour, so please sing along like a loon for me!

Senghe, my Heartagram edition of Screamworks arrived the other day, and I think the album is fucking brilliant. Venus Doom never totally won me over, but the new disc just has everything I love about the band in bucket loads. My favourite tracks are Disarm Me, Scared To Death and Acoustic Funeral - all the schmoltzy ones! There is so much melody on the record, it's a full on eargasm and yes, it's so imediate. Loving it, can't wait to see them in Manchester next month. I knew the album was there if I wanted to hear it, but I wanted to hear it for the first time on my decent speakers, as a whole, without clicking around.

My bro saw InMe in Manc a couple of days back - they played Master Storm! He said the sound wasn't great (bad venue) and Dave admitted he'd hit a lot of dud notes. But I'm sure they're just getting back into it, and I bet Gaz was pretty nervous as well.

Me too. Last time I saw HIM Ville was dying on his feet of a throat/chest infection. They have pretty fucking decent support band too. Last time I got pished in the pub while the support band were on and wandered in about 10 minutes before HIM hit the stage. I actually can't believe how quickly I fell in love with Dommin. The album is fantastic and the tracks on their MySpace page don't do it justice as it's far more varied in style with a bit of rockabilly, ballads and tracks tinged with Type O Negative at one end (Love Is Gone) and Depeche Mode at the other (Honestly) but not in a plagiaristic way. That guy might have a stupid haircut, but my god his vocals and visceral honesty in the lyrics make up for that. I can't gush enough about it and from the stuff on YouTube they are amazing live.

I so wish I'd gone to see InMe but I felt really crap that day and wasn't sure the band would be onstage before the last train home as there was a huge list of bands on that night. Turns out it ended about 11 and I'm pig sick about not going now. I've seen the vid or Master Storm on YouTube - that song is absolutely epic and I'm suprised they could pull it off live. I think Dave is hard on himself as singing and fret tapping simultaneously takes some skill. Didn't sound too dire and Gazz looked/sounded like he fitted right in. Hopefully they'll come back locally in May as they seem to be booking more gigs for then.

And holy shitballs, The Dreaming have their second album due out soon! Etched In Blood was great.

For those that don't know, their lead singer is Christopher Hall from Stabbing Westward.

oh wow we're going to the same gig! lol.gif

When I heard Dommin were supporting I checked them out, admittedly on Myspace, and I'm afraid I don't share your enthusiasm. There's nothing there I really like, and the vocals on 'Tonight' actually make me laugh. He looks like Elvis after a cocaine bender. I've never been into Type-o or Depeche Mode so that's hardly surprising I'm not a fan of Dommin. Last time I saw HIM was in Portsmouth a couple of years back. I was pretty hammered the whole gig, don't remember much of it. Kill Hannah were supporting, and they're not too bad.

Yeah apparently Master Storm is really hard to play, apparently Gaz had to be sat down and taught it by Dave. And I'd always forgive him a few dud notes, cos the technical side of their play is ridiculous.

I'm looking foward to TGF's new album, as well as The Whigs new album. Not much good music coming out these days (god, I feel old).

Hey - I might see you there. I'll be the crazy old bird who's the only one singing along to Dommin - you won't be able to miss me. lol.gif Tonight makes me laugh too - for some reason it reminds me of U2 - I love the drums though. Image wise, he needs to sort something out, but I don't need to point out my favourite band's lead singer has alopecia and is bald as a coot, so I don't choose my music by band image. I'm afraid I have this deeply ingrained 'gothic' streak (the sonic melodrama rather than prancing round in black lipstick and too much eyeliner). I blame it on a saturation of Bauhaus and Sisters Of Mercy when I was at an impressionable age. By next month the novelty might have worn off and I'll be 'meh' about them or loathe them as much as I do Muse whom I once loved. It takes all sorts musically - if we all like the same stuff we'd be stuck with Britney fucking Spears like a bunch of slack jawed zombies.

Right, I'm off to see if anybody has uploaded some InMe gig vids on YouTube. Mind you, I've not quite got over seeing Dave playing with his family's dogs to the tune of Mr Goodchild on there yesterday. lol.gif I seriously think Dave missed his calling as a stand up comedian.
