We have 8 or 9 tracks already and have begun producer talks. New TGF album by late 2009!

While cool to have new music that soon, if they release this album in Nov/Dec there is a great chance it will be buried by the top artists who release CD's at the time. Just a thought....

Again you're thinking from the point of a record exec rather than a fan. This thing seems to be born out of a love of music so i think they just want to get it out to us as soon as possible, it's probably still an experiment itself at this stage so I doubt topping the charts is in their to do list right now.

I agree, this album is going to buried no matter when they release it. I'm sure it'll be awesome though!!

Hmm...
Ofcourse I dunno about what all the messages mean, and now this name. But IF, yes IF, Chad Taylor use it all to makes staements to Ed (as some assumed), I think this is, very, very unproffessional. We all don't know what's going on, or happened or whatever, but when you look at Ed, he doesn't seem to shoot at nobody. He seems to act much more proffessional. Then again: we don't know what (and if there's sometthing at all) going on.

Dragging up old stuff but I don't care.. this is not always true like you stated at the very end. Often times people that appear to be very proper acting are actually self absorbed egomaniacs who are just disregarding what anyone else thinks or does. Secretly, they house their beliefs, ambitions and self worth above all others, no matter what other people think (though, they are smart enough to know how to appear like a good person). Often times people eventually get so frustrated by the constant ignoring and ultimately condescending outlook of these people that they have so much anger they have to retaliate.. It's about keeping up appearances for the moral-idiot and he/she/ed doesn't care who they step on to achieve high standing... Often times their tweets are full of shit, full of "lols" that are actually more indicative of someone reverting to a more innocent childlike state to escape the reality of their own karma coming to wake them up to the fact they are, indeed, the lying sack of shit that they are trying to prove to the world that they actually aren't.........
Sometimes people take little pot shots here and there, when they may seem bitter to the world, when they could actually be retaliating in ways much bigger so that more people could see a person as they do....

damn, im pissed as a dog but sounds like the above poster is someone close to the band, if not a member himself, which really is a dark reflection on the future of live. never thought this band would get to such a point of animosity and seemingly irreparable damage as has been demonstrated lately.

where the boys in live?

I have no clue who posted that scathing, yet honest portrait of Ed, but damn...this band has seemingly become a dysfunctional "family."

I also never thought Live would get like this, especially since they really aren't that big anymore, and haven't been big for a very long time.

We'll probably never know what the hell happened to this band during this break, the time leading up to the break, and future times...after living with this band in my life for 17 years, its just plain disheartening. Alas, life's truths can be bitter often times. What a shame...

The album being released first quarter 2010 gives the band more potential for success. I think this band really has potential and I hope it works out for them.

I think it could be huge too, but I think you and I would define that in different ways. Neither Live nor Candlebox have had a lot major leagues success lately, so thinking that when it is released is going to have a major impact is, I think, a little unrealistic.

Now, what COULD happen is that the album has a killer single and a few months after its release it begins to pick up steam. As it is now, Live fans and Candlebox fans will probably pick this up, then some others who were fans of mid 90's music who like what they hear from it. But it would be really surprising (and awesome) for it to really go toe to toe with any major releases at the time of its release. The Live/Candlebox pairing just isn't going to generate all that much buzz on the national scene, though I wish it would.

I think it could be really successful, but that isn't going to be influenced much by when it is released.

Totally agree. I hope we have some sample songs before the release.
