I see the term Live has went "pop" being thrown around left & right here, Is pop music bad? I've listened to SFBM numerous times now & it is still rock music, Every song may not be your particular cup of tea but being a Live fan I did like the album. I think some fans get in the bad habit of comparing every new release to "Throwing Copper" & that will be a recipe for disaster every time. That album is a what put Live on the national map, a Top 100 Rolling Stone Album of all time, There will never be another TC, the sooner the true Live fan realizes that the quicker you can enjoy their subsequent releases. They are older, they have lives/kids,etc. Their sound has changed somewhat, the lyrics Ed writes now is because he's in a different space then he was in 1994. That's music. There is nothing wrong with that. Most artists who have 6-7 albums style or sound has changed, that's life. Do I like every song they've released...No but I don't hold up everything in a litmus test compared to "Throwing Copper", Simply put there won't be another "Throwing Copper", quit expecting that & enjoy(when possible) music.gif
