Huge fan of Blue october. Love the early work and have enjoyed new release. Any fans out there? Any downloads?

I like the song "Hate Me", although it's the only thing I've heard so I can't call myself a fan as such. Also watched a couple of live performances of the track, in one his vocal was poor but in the other he was good. So, yeah, seem like a good group. Although, I'd have to hear more...

Check out some of the older stuff. Album "history for sale" is great! Never seen them live but love the music. Been hooked for about 2 -3 years now and they have become 2nd favorite following LIVE of course. Lead singer's lyrics are extremely poetic and if you listen to enough, I assure you, you will find them unique and different. Newer albums, foiled and most recently approaching normal border more on emo pop, however the music is well delivered! Check them out! "Argue with a tree is a 2cd live track". I have all albums if you decide you enjoy them!

This is a band that I'm so on the fence with. On one hand I think they are this huge bullshit emo band, yet on the other there is something about them that I might need to check out more.

I guess youtube here I come.

I'd say from a distance they appear to be on the intruiging side of emo.

I understand the whole fence thing. Today's music as we know is sooooo mass produced. I just think if you listen to a vatiety of blue's music from different albums, you will see that this band is unique. From the violin player to the lyrics, which I find in most songs intreging. Maybe I am biased. I am 38 Yrs old and have been a therapist in the addiction/mental health field for many years. Many of his lyerics are about overcoming his own illnesses. I also have gravitated to music that provoke deep dark emotion. I just can't get enough of this band.

Only song I've heard from them is "Hate Me" but it's definitely too whiny for me, and the lyrics sound like a 13 year old's diary.
