I'm afraid I have to disagree. Sure, if you go in wanting another Disclaimer then you'll be disappointed, but I think as a progression of their sound it's an interesting step.

I saw Seether a few years back and was not impressed. I am neutral on their music but it really seemed like they just wanted to get off the stage. They went from one song to the next. Zero interaction. It didn't help that Theory of a Deadman and Shinedown were the other two bands that followed them. I don't like Theory of a Deadman that much (Nickelback v. 2.0) but they had a ton of energy and interaction.

Shinedown was just flat out good. Both made Seether look bad. I do like the song they did with Amy Lee though. Then again, I like Amy Lee. She has some pipes.

I used to go to the Seether shows when they were called Saron Gas and still lived in my hometown - always been a fan. Shaun actually went to school with one of my close friends and we always stopped round when they played during the late 90's and early 2000's.

Have seen them three times as Seether here in SA - and they've always been really good in concert. I've seen them share a stage with Metallica and man did they rock that day!

The new material hasn't grown on me yet. I think it's the change in line-up - guitar etc. They miss Pat Callaghan. I think they were at their best with him in the band, sadly.

I still think the Saron Gas 'Fragile' EP is better than Disclaimer or Disclaimer II
