I'm surprised this hasn't been posted here yet... It's a great idea from Friends of Live.

Every Homespun subscriber is now entitled to receive 1 meet and greet pass per year. There are a few conditions, but all in all it looks like an excellent way to meet the band...

I thought it was more like a contest... we aren't entitled to one like guaranteed...

Well if you go to 1 show a year and that show is in NYC where there are 100 (imaginary number) Homespun members applying for a meet and greet pass, then yeah it's going to be tough to get one. But if you go to multiple shows and are willing to travel a bit then I reckon your chances of being able to use that pass is greatly increased.

This is a great idea and I'm definitely going to try to cash in on it, but I have to wonder if this offer will cause a huge increase in memberships and result in great difficulty in obtaining the pass. The holiday gift, which is really the only big reason to join, has sucked so bad recently that there are probably a ton of people who still follow and would like to meet the band but who are not currently members. I hope they anticipate a high demand for these!

You would hope that there would be some sort of prioritization of who gets the passes. With existing members given higher priority over fans who just sign up just to get the pass.

Okay guys, These passes are normally wasted on frantic housewives who just want pics so they can imagine they are more important than they are. I actually care about the community so I need to ask something important If I can. I could ask about Take me up to Zion or anything.

I dunno that it is the band that is against it... It may be their management that thinks it will lead to decreased sales. It is the opposite in reality and it is going to take decades before modern music realizes it.
