Hi guys

I don't really follow Idols, here in SA or elsewhere, but I was browsing through the news on Google and my eye caught an article about this guy singing LC on Idols. I've checked it out and it's quite good. You can watch it here is you're interested:

I don't follow Idols either. I caught the initial try outs and this dude has done well so far. Isn't the voting on this song tonight?

He put his own spin on the song. But I am biased towards Ed's version. He's definitely not Ed.
But not bad. Sorry, I can't help compare every version to the original!

His voice cracks up way too much and he got the lyrics wrong!

I agree with you! Definitly not Ed!! But it was nice to hear the crowd cheer when they realised what he was singing.

This is really Lightning Crashes turned into a pop song. An idolish version of the song.
But he did well, although he made it sound like a pop song, at least he gave it a personal touch by doing that. So I say, not bad!

Well, his performance was enough to get him through to the next round.

And yeah, it was cool to see the crowd recognizing LC.

Yeah, not a very natural performance....... but still not completely terrible. He gets a passable rating from me.
