October 20 Overseas/October 21 US would make perfect sense because I would think the band would want the DVD out before Night of the Proms on October 24th. Sounds like we have the release date set.

All the other topics (although I think there weren't really much) had only speculation.

The DVD is listed on several sites under EAN number 0886973755297, supposedly titled "Live, Live". The release date varies between October 3rd, 17th, 20th and 27th. Time will tell.

De overeenkomst omvat o.a. de release van een live DVD, recentelijk opgenomen in de hoofdstedelijke poptempel Paradiso. Het is voor het eerst in de lange en succesvolle carrière van de band dat er een live DVD en CD uitgebracht zal worden.


De DVD verschijnt media oktober 2008, daarnaast zal een gelimiteerde CD/DVD verschijnen, in combinatie met een separate CD en DVD versie. De produktie van de DVD ligt in handen van The Entertainment Group i.s.m. The Alternative.

Note that this press release is dated Juli 28th 2008. A slightly better translation:

Sony BMG Benelux has closed a license deal with American rock band Live. Previously Live was under contact by US Columbia (sic). The agreement includes, amongst others, the release of a live DVD, recently recorded at Paradiso in the capital. It is the first time they release a live DVD and CD in their long and successful career. The DVD will appear mid October 2008, together with a limited edition CD/DVD combo and separate CD and DVD versions. The DVD will be produced by The Entertainment Group in cooperation with The Alternative.

hmm, 'The Enterntainment Group' and 'The Alternative' are both Dutch, or Ducth/Belgium, aren't they? This article says they do the production of the whole dvd? This surprises me because this gives me the impression that the whole dvd thing is very Benelux oriented, in stead of a real worldwide release, or a FriendsofLive-shop item. Also Sony BMG releasing it for the Benelux hints at that. Weird.

But whatever, this is still speculation.

It's time for some real good detail info by the band. Hurry up!

duhh, ofcourse there wasn't any press release. It wasn't a proper album that was released, it was just an own made cd that FANS could order. Why would the press mention this, fans would find the way to this item anyway. But this, this is a DVD released in the shops. Lill different story, isn't it?.

I am waiting for the official announcement, so what do you mean?
And I wonder who is whining in this thread. The only thing I saw is speculation. And there's nothing wrong with that.
