I am asked constantly when the next album will be released and frankly there is no answer to that question other than to say that when Ed, Chad, Pat and I are ready to resume our creative interaction, we will. Until then we have a massive volume of past material that remains a joy to perform for Live fans worldwide.

What about the new material that is supposedly coming with the CD/DVD? I would be upset if they released it but then pull a Radiant Sea and not play new songs in concert.

Chad actually makes it sound like they're not doing ANYTHING new at the moment. I hope when they do go to make it....it's like....you know, good. That sounds dumb, but there he also makes it sound like it'll be a group effort so if we have to wait a while for this new album...it better be good. It's GOT to be good...different, better, raw, powerful, abstract, dark...

..I'm rambling.

They've been on tour so their obviously not recording new stuff. When Ed said he wanted to include new stuff on the album I assumed he meant things already recorded like on Radiant Sea. Why would you even assume otherwise with the schedule they've had?

I'm surprised you even thought otherwise. I'm hoping for something like New City or maybe other songs we've never known about.

In the NYC interview, Ed mentioned that he was excited to share the new material to show Live fans what direction the band is headed in. To me it sounded like they were newly recorded. Either way, I just hope the band takes the time to play the "new" material in concert.

exactly, I don't think they will release 'old' stuff again as 'new stuff'. I mean, it's dumb to be excited about what fans think about (for example) old V-stuff, while it doesn't say anything about where the band is now. So we'll get real new stuff, or no new stuff. guess we'll see in October.

by the sounds of it then, maybe Ed and Taylor don't even know whats going on, maybe Live have secretly split up but keep reuniting on stage to keep the fans happy ... you know like a couple who's love dies but stay together for their kid!

ok maybe not, but ah well, if it's older stuff being released for the first time I hope it really is old material something pre-2000 either that or brand new material .. lets leave 2000-2007 to rest in peace.

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure what to make of "when Ed, Chad, Pat and I are ready to resume our creative interaction, we wil" ... but I don't like the sound of it at all. They might suffer from a lack of inspiration but there can also be other 'obstacles'. A great trigger for rumour smile.gif
