Can we get Andrew and sixfoot out of here and get some real fans? If you don't think that was a weak ass setlist before the final encore, it's because you're a bitch. And, anyone who complains about a concert being too loud might as well just shoot themselves and call it a day. Where do people like you guys come from?

House of Blues Dallas was way too loud for the concert in May 2007. During the opening act, the noise was nearly unbearable. Live was a bit better, but it was an incredibly deafening show. It was a new venue and I think they were having major sound issues at the time.

As for the concert DVD, I think it was a very good setlist. Every album was represented, and many of the band's best songs were apart of the show. The only surprise omission was Pain Lies on the Riverside.

If the noise muffles the sound of the instruments and the vocals of the lead singer, it is too loud.

Although somebody mentioned that the final encore (3 songs) wouldn't be included on the DVD.

Yea i totally agree that those last three songs are the only special part of this setlist.......if they don't include it on anything its ridiculous....unless they F'ed up Dam because they never play it....

But since they are making a DVD i cant believe that those songs won't appear on them at all...even if its part of bonus footage or something...

Get your facts straight. Perhaps they didn't cover it anatomy but there is a point when the ear breaks down and doesn't respond accurately. Any car with an excessive subwoofer installation can easily demonstrate the point. There is a big difference between a human ear and a microphone. Next time your at a loud concert stand in the back and then make your way forward to the point that you place your ear 3" from the loud speaker. You'll see that the perceived "noise level" has changed although the mix hasn't.

I was never big on it until 2 performances, one being at a gig I saw in Melbourne 2001 and Voodoo Lady blew me away, I wasn't a huge fan of it before. I think the performance from Pinkpop 2002 was fantastic as well, one of the few songs Railio adds to. However it drags a bit on the album.

I agree with Hoodie in feeling that Voodoo Lady is one of Live's weaker songs in concert. It is not bad, but it has never been a favorite of mine.

I'd be surprised if it's only a minority of diehards who like Voodoo Lady. I consider it one of Live's better live songs and it is well worthy of inclusion on this dvd/cd.

Agreed, after being pinned against the stage with my head directly above the stage monitor for a ska show about 12 years ago I went out and bought good earplugs. Not the cheap foamies that muffle everything (though they are better than nothing), but ones that are designed for listening to loud music, I recommend Ety-Plug - ER20's, they are comfortable and you don't miss any of the sound.

Recently I upgraded my earplugs to a set of custom ear plugs from Westone, ES49 Custom Fit Earplugs. They are a little spendy, but they are amazingly comfortable and the sound is excellent with them in.
