I'm pretty sure Live are the last ones to play, they are also on top on the posters (= headliner)

you can listen to samples of the other bands under

Rockpalast - Rocknacht

if you have a real player

I personally like Nada Surf very much (they had one big hit "Popular" in 1996 - are more into melodic rock now)
you can (legally) dl two nice tracks (mp3) from
Nada Surf Downloads
Calexico is far too experimental for me - I saw them once, but didn't like them
Tocotronic is a rock band with nice German lyrics
no idea about the others ...

Great concert, and nice to drive only 15 min. to get home wink.gif

IPB Image

The setlist was:

All Over You
Selling The Drama
The River
Mystery
They Stood Up For Love
Run Away
Lightning Crashes
Sofia
Lakini's Juice
The Dolphin's Cry
I Alone
Heaven
Show

ENCORE
The Beauty Of Gray
Run To The Water
White, Discussion (Extended Version, Ed forgot lyrics)

or something like that...shorter than in Amsterdam. The sound was good. The Palladium wasn't full, but the people were in a good mood. The band smiles most of the time, they're quite happy with what they're doing. Oh, and Ed announces at every new song, that SFBM comes soon. Really? innocent.gif
To my mind, the new songs were the weakest live. Good, but not that powerful as the classics. Perhaps because the crowd didn't know them so well.

And here is a short 11 sec clip of White, Discussion ... just to get an impression of the atmosphere

No more reviews of this amazing gig???
To take up the cudgels for the german fans, I decided to add one more.

First of all: thanx for the photo and vid, phoenixdecay.

I guess due to the strange mixture of bands and the fact it was a sunday evening it wasn´t sold out.

In my opinion The Revs and Nada Surf did a great job that evening. Just a guitar, a bass and a drumset. That´s Rock. guitar.gif

Short review on LiVE:
I was a bit scared how they would sound and which songs they would play. So first of all I noticed the lack of a keyboard - yes!

It was like the crowd was sleeping till the guys entered the stage. It was definitely worth waiting from 5 p.m. till 11:30 p.m. and standing Calexico omg.gif - sorry Calexico fans. LiVE played only 3 or 4 songs from the new album that sounded live - without keys - far better than the short samples from the album I found in the www. Not to mention that the the rest of the set was awesome.yahoo.gif I´m really looking forward to the TV broadcasts of this show.

Anyway, album is available in Germany from now on. Guess I should give it a try. But how should it get worse than V (which I as a fool bought also) wink.gif

Best whishes from Germany

no "love shines"? i wonder why..... watching taylor with all his rocker attitude standing there singing "shines, shines, shines, shines, shines...." was the funniest thing i've seen in while. it looked like he was about to laugh as well the night before in paradiso (btw, them playing "turn my head" there was a NICE surprise!!).

how could ed forget the lyrics to WD? it's one of their shortest songs (lyrically i mean) and he repeats of half of them.

I think they played "love shines", but I'm not sure.

But I envy those who were at Paradiso because they got "Dance with you" as last song...

No, they definately didn't..I know, because I waited for it after reading the setlist from the Paradiso. And I waited for "Shit Towne" (some people even shouted for it) "Dance With You" would've been great, but I think they couldn't play as long as in Holland, because of the late beginning huh.gif
