I came across this picture, that seems to be a recent (promo) picture of the band (if you look like how the guys look recently, the mohawk of Chad G. for example).
I don't know why it was made (I found it on an interview over at SOY, check it out), but I guess it's the first one since 2005/2006.

Although the guys look very, very different than in 1997, it reminds me of the SS pics.

The third one is being used for the band/crew "All Access" laminates. We saw a few of them around Red Rocks on Friday.

I like the third one also!

I think these are made just to promote the summer tour or something, and for having at least some recent pers photo's. They make some every 2 or 3 years, as that is the usual period between albums for Live... But these must be tyhe first non-related album ones I guess

To me they definitely do not look like the best promo-pics, they are unfortunately quite unprofessional imho. Although nice, judging by the quali also, but Chad looking some strange other way on the last pic?.. A bit crooked faces as if noone told them how to turn their heads etc, just said: Look at me now, we're gonna take a pic. That was it. I do not mind those for sure. Other thing is that they can not be simply put down to a comparison with those of mud-90s yanno.
