Interesting topic. But it was such a short tour with Counting Crows that I don't think it was a big deal one way or the other. I saw the first show in Wilmington on 7/22, and one of the last shows in Lakewood NJ on 8/22. I enjoyed the GA setups in the small ballparks and overall think it was a cool idea to play these fringe markets. Attendance was great at both shows I was at, too. I went primarily to see Live, but dug both Counting Crows shows. Kudos to them for mixing up their sets, and playing a good mix of brand new and old tunes.

It was a little frustrating that Live was boxed in to a one-hour set, but what are you going to do? They have been headlining a lot during the past year or two, and have been playing very satisfying 2 hour shows as the norm. Besides, Ed's voice probably didn't mind the semi-break either. Nice to see him back in great form.

Their norm is like 1:20-1:30.

A lot of shows do clock in well under 2 hours so I can't really argue with you..........................but I've seen a bunch in the 1:50 - 2:00 range too last year and this year.
