Hey everyone,

Although we're not sure we finally get a Live live DVD, if it happens (2008, Brazilia), what would you think what would be best to put on it and what should be played in concert?

It's unlikely that old live-goodies that haven't been played for years now would suddenly be played only for the recording of the concert. So no Freaks, Where fishes go or Heropsychodreamer for example, I guess.

looking to recent Live concerts it would be something like:

1) Rattlesnake
2) All Over You
3) The River
4) Mirror Song
5) They Stood Up For Love
6) Voodoo Lady
7) I Walk The Line [Johnny Cash]
8) Iris
9) Wings
10) The Dolphin's Cry
11) Shit Towne
12) Heaven

ENCORE
13) Lakini's Juice
14) Run To The Water
15) The Beauty Of Gray
16) I Alone

ENCORE
17) Sofia
18) Lightning Crashes
19) White, Discussion
20) Dance With You

And well maybe a chance for Pain Lies and Operation, they are still being played, sometimes. And offcourse Mystery.
But I expect no stuff from V, maybe Overcome at least. And maybe all the singles they had will be played, I dunno. It will probably be a selection of songs that's chosen for a broad audience, not specific Live fans.

And what about the length. Some famous bands nowadays don't release such a long concerts at DVD. Check Muse, for example: Absolution Tour, 12 songs (some extras not included). I really hope it's gonna be a long recording.

Well finally hear what I would like to have a concert DVD of by my favorite band Live:
(but this won't happen! I ensure you cool.gif )

#1 - All Over You
#2 - Where fishes go
#3 - Iris
#4 - Lightning Crashes

#9 - They stood up for Love (acoustic version, like in 2000)
#10- Selling the Drama

ENCORE
#11 - Like I do
#12 - Heaven
#13 - Lakini's Juice
#14 - Overcome
#15 - The beauty of Gray

ENCORE no.2
#16 - Shit Towne
#17 - Operation Spirit /or/ Sofia
#18 - Stage /or/ Simple Creed
#19 - Love Shines
#20 - White, Discussion (very, very extended edion!!! rockin.gif )

#22 - I alone [ with song in it, like in 2000 ]

hmm, lookin at your list Livebat, now I already see that I forgot some important songs for THE concert... TMH, Show, NoN, Sparkle...but than again, I know that the DVD won't be longer than 20 songs or something so I couldn't extend my list more than I already did lol.gif

That Absolution Tour DVD was a complete cop-out when you compare it to Hullabaloo (20 or so tracks), which was incredible. I mean it wasn't even 5.1 for fuck sake... pretty useless nowadays to release a concert in 2 channel 44.1 pcm. (Cd Quality...)

First of all, I could care less about the DVD. I would want the CD!

That being said, and being reasonable with the setlist length, this would be the ultimate Live concert thumbsup.gif :

1. Operation Spirit
2. Selling the Drama
3. Mystery
4. Heaven
5. Simple Creed
6. Turn My Head
7. The River
8. They Stood Up For Love
9. Waitress
10. All Over You
11. The Dolphin's Cry
12. Lakini's Juice

Encore #1
13. Lightning Crashes
14. Sweet Release
15. Run To The Water

Encore #2
16. Love Shines
17. Shit Towne
18. I Alone
19. White Discussion

I'm guessing the setlist will be nothing really different to what we've seen for the past year, mostly due to laziness I guess, really disappointing... i'm guessing it'll pretty much be the Awake CD + a couple of SFBM tracks.

What would be awesome though would be if they pulled a Morrissey (and im sure what many other bands have done) and record a DVD at the begining of the tour and a live album at the end, completely different set lists, and then release them at the same time .. if I want the DVD in audio form i'll just rip the audio from it.
