Just noticed this in the "Rock and Roll Daily" posting on rollingstone.com:

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...oslave-breakup/

Okay, so the Ed K. part can't even be considered anything close to a rumor, but I thought it was amusing to see his name there.

Oh, and if you care, in the article Chris Cornell pretty much confirms Audioslave's break-up ("99.9% chance"). I liked Soundgarden, I love Rage Against the Machine, but Audioslave never really didn't it for me, so I can't say I care all that much (except that it lends steam to the theory that Rage will be re-uniting permanently....yeah!).

"We nominate Sammy Hagar, Mark Lanegan, Ed Kowalczyk, James Iha or Peter Gabriel."

No way, Mark Lanegan is too cool for Audioslave.

He was the Screaming Trees frontman, and was part of the 90's 'supergroup' Mad Season.. he also has collaborated with QOTSA, Twilight Sisters, Auf Der Maur, Isobell Campbell (of belle and sebastian), among many others..

Huh, thats interesting... Like Edstipe I cared for rage and soundgarden but not for audioslave. I think the old lead singer of Skid row should step up heh heh, I love his voice. Sebastian Bach I believe he was. He may not be from the 90s, but he is certainly in the shadows.

I find it a little offensive that the site claims Ed is free to be a part of audioslave. There are no signs of dissention in Live as far as I can tell. I saw in some podcasts I watched some band members weren't thrilled at Ed's direction with SFBM but they were cooperative.

Also... This might should be in the off topic forum but I don't know... It depends on how much we accually talk about Live in this thread tongue.gif

If Ed fronts Audioslave, maybe Britney Spears can front Live. She and Ed have the same haircut now.

From a guy's perspective, she definately is a lot hotter. But then you would go to a Live concert and see the band playing to a tape and dancing like the Backstreet Boys.

In my opinion, that naturally seems to be the next progression from SFBM.

awwwwwwwww that would be absolutely adorable. But not Backstreet Boys dancing. Let's make Gracey, Patrick & Taylor dress up in the same suits and be 'bee bop, shoo wop' motown sorta backup singers. And not behind Britney. Make it Gladys Knight or someone cool like that.

it would kinda look like this

Which begs the question - which one of her backing dancers is she going to marry this time? I can see it now in Hell-o magazine... Britney and P-Dal!
