This movie is fucking incredible. Absolutely goddamn amazing.

I saw requiem for a dream years ago and loved it, so when I heard about this movie I got pretty excited. It came out a few weeks ago but hasn't really gotten much attention. It's still out around here, so you should check if it's playing near you and if it is, go see it.

I saw the movie with my girlfriend and a good friend of mine. When it ended we all kinda sat there in silence for a minute. The first thing my girlfriend said was that she didn't really get it, that there were things she expected to come together that never really did. My friend then said that he really, really liked it.

And I think we all felt both of those things quite a bit. This movie doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's still an amazing experience. I still can't really explain what it's about, and I wouldn't really care to try. It just is.

So, I highly recommend that you all go see it. I'm going to see it again tonight, and I'm hella buying it whenever it comes out on dvd.

Has anyone else here seen it already? Thoughts?

I went out with some friends and saw this movie again last night. There were so many things that I hadn't noticed the first time that made me like the film even more. I seriously can't believe how little attention this movie is getting.

Rachel Weiss is my favorite actress. I gotta wait for it to be a rental, although I'm sure I'll be obsessed with it.

It's still playing in some theatres here. If it's still out there, you should go see it in theatres. A lot of the visual stuff won't be nearly as cool on your non-theatre screen sized tv.

Well, I unfortunately have rent to pay so my movie-nights are disturbingly limited. But I've gotten good at hooking the tv up to the stereo & closing my eyes real tight so my 25-year old TV looks bigger.

I have no idea what the movie is like but fuck me, I didn't know Clint Mansell wrote film scores!

For those of you that don't know, Clint was the lead singer of an absolutely brilliant band from the 90's called Pop Will Eat Itself. These boys weren't quite right in the head, but songs like Def Con 1 and Can U Dig It? - now THAT was sampling with class and aplomb.

...everybody's happy now, everybody's singing, everybody's happy now, we're bulletproof... rockin.gif

hahahaha awesome. You're a music nerd.

I just found out that Angelo Badalemte wrote the music to National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation ... he also did the music for Twin Peaks and years later he colaborated with the dude from James. That was called Tim Booth & The Bad Angel.

cooooooooool

Mansell's first name inherently makes him awesome. In addition, I do like some of the movie scores I've heard from him. I'll have to look into this band you're talking about.
