In my mind, being a biased Live fan of course, I truely feel that Live should end up in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame some day. I know that some of you will say that the R&RHOF isn't worth a dime, but I still think it's a big accomplishment to get accepted victory.gif .

Despite my personal feelings, I don't think that Live will currently be considered for entry. I would like them to make it, and I was wondering what other people thought of them getting in or what they needed to do to do so.

I really think that Live needs to make some more albums with the commercial appeal of TC to be considered. Some of you will be against this, but if their songs are massively on the radio that means that people are listening to them. It would also expose the band to a new generation of fans that may have never been exposed to Live.

Because I would like to seem them inducted someday, and I would like to see their fan base rejuvinated with new and old fans alike, I hope that album 8 is not only angry but appealing to the masses. turn.gif

What are your thoughts?

They'll never even be nominated.

I mean, Rush isn't in, but they deserve to be based on musical merits alone.

I disagree. Maybe for their popularity, since that's what a lot of bands are inducted for, but that's about it, aside from Neil Peart's drumming.

And yes, Live won't ever be nominated.

The chances of Live getting into the Hall of Fame is very, very miniscule. They certainly have no chance of getting in based on their current body of work, and they aren't even a blip on the radar within the music industry right now.

The only way they could possibly get in at this point in their careers is if they rediscover themselves, write five or six consecutive powerful, meaningful records, and have a significant influence on the future of music.

I can't really see that happening, sorry.

In terms of current bands who I can see making the Hall of Fame in the future, I'd have to say Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, R.E.M., U2, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, and Oasis. None of those are locks by any stretch, but they all have a decent shot, I would say.

I'd love to see Live get in, but it isn't likely. It saves me a trip to cleveland, I suppose.

You're welcome.

There's absolutely no way I could've forgotten the show they put on during the induction ceremony.

If Green Day ever gets inducted in, it will be a very sad day for music. no.gif

As for Live...that would never happen, but no big deal.
