Ok, i know this may not be really relevant as of late or that groundbreaking, but i was listening to BOP and SFBM this afternoon and came across my favourite song off of SFBM, All I Need (not sure why so many people don't like it, i find it although maybe a bit overdone on the cheese factor, a very anthemic, catchy song), and got this odd image

know how Live concerts as of late aren't too fresh on the setlists?
For some reason, i imagined Live playing All I Need, for a live performance, Ed has an acoustic guitar, the lights are bright green for the verses and Chad T has a shaker a la The Distance, and Adam has a key-tar, i mean how freaky would that be? i loved the image though

and then into the anthemic chorus comes Chad T with a loud guitar, louder than the album obviously, i think this would make an awesome concert song with Adam on key-tar, haha i find it rather funny lol.gif

ok, so what do you think? haha also can make this topic a good opener for what people would LIKE to see played in concert? any ideas? i'd love to hear a more positive Live thread cool.gif

I think I'd like to have what you're drinking! No but seriously, i think that would be pretty neat. I wouldnt mind hearing lighthouse in concert, as its one of their best

All I Need is a great track, and your vision of it is super-freaky in a good way smile.gif

lol.gif why thank you

but does anyone see this remotely possible? i mean a key-tar, ok not too hard to get, and for Adam to learn the keyboard bits in the song, not too sure about that but how hard could it be?
Then just imagine the lights for this one, sort of like how in I Walk The Line how they have this deep red for the verses with just Ed on acoustic, then it explodes into the chorus with Chad T's guitar. For the verses he can break out that shaker from The Distance or the one Adam uses on LJ.

I really think this song would be amazing in concert, especially if people started singing along kicking.gif

in my opinion basically all the songs off SFBM played in concert sound much, much better than on the cd, anyone agree?

and what songs would you love to see played in concert? me personally i'd love to see Meltdown, Waitress and maybe even Mother Earth Is A Vicious Crowd (would love to hear this one in concert with full on electrics) played live.

I think it would actually make a great opener - it would set a really positive, funky tone. In between Live and his own work I'm not sure Adam would find time to learn the basics of key-tar, but I could imagine Ed giving it a go. Maybe. I think Wings sounds particularly awesome played live.
I think Meltdown is a great song - I'd have that along with Out To Dry, Merica, Sweet Release, Lighthouse lol.gif, Top, Deep Enough and Transmit Your Love (which is really lovely).

Back in April and May, I left Adam comments on his MySpace that said that they should add "All I Need" to the set and that he should play the keytar on it! Glad somebody else could see that.

haha oh thats awesome

i really think it'd improve the show as an opener just like Deku mentioned, also it'd be a nice change to the current setlist, also its an SFBM track so i think that'd keep Ed pretty happy to open with

Out To Dry is my favourite song off of BOP so i'd love to hear that played Live, but what about songs such as Night Of Nights, Where Do We Go From Here? i'd like to hear those played live, and all from SFBM, its concert potential really hasn't been experimented with

i actually agree on Flow, first of all nothing much is played from V, as is for SFBM as well, and Flow would do nicely as a concert song, at least in my opinion

would love to see Freaks, Insomnia And The Hole In The Universe and especially Waitress, such as the way they played it back in '95 a la pinkpop festival.

hmm, what other songs would people love to see played in concert?

Flow sucks! Simple as that. A great opening song is Simple Creed from V. My favorite opening song of their's was "The Dam at Otter Creek". When they did it the coordination of drums and lights was awesome.
