Amsterdam, was just unfuckingbelievable asthounishing great performance, the guys really 'feel' eachothers note, and they were really enjoying the show!

Some highlights!

Kevin saw that I was singing along, and pointed a few times at me, and suddenly, during 'The Closer' he gestured to come to him, and to singalong with him for about 30 seconds

Chad's leg is still not fully recovered and suddenly during a solo of him, Kevin stood behind him, to stomp for him.....was great to see.8)

Chad was talking to the crowd and suddenly Kevin gave him his microphone, and Chad said "This is Kevin end for tonight, I will take over" CG's reaction with laughter 'badaboom' lol.gif

I have also called Dmitri during his favorite song 'Honest Man' he did not picked it up, but his voicemail did, so the surpise was even bigger this morning.

I have recorded two songs, my absolute favorite of all "Tredecim" and the new song "Labor Of Love"

Labor Of Love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyHEK-dAS6Y
Tredecim: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiU2UpOtqFk

The show was overal just amazing, and you cannot and should compare this with +LIVE+ this was THE GRACIOUS FEW and they Fucking Rock!!

After the show, the guys came to the bar to chat with the fans.

As promised to Dmitri (He asked me on Facebook) I have bought a beer on his behalf for Chad Taylor and told him that this was from my Russian Friend Dmitri, and he immediatly reacted "Dmitri, man I love this guy, tell him thanks for his support' and I got his autograph 'To Dmitri'
I thanked him for the great concert and went on a picture with him!

After that I talked to Kevin, and asked him if he could sign a card for my Russian Friend, and he said "Dmitri?" and I said "Yes"! Kevin told me to say hello and thanking him for his activity and support.
I thanked him for the great concert and went on a picture with him!

These guys are so relaxed, and they all loved my TGF shirt.

I also talked to Sean Hennesy about the concert, and how much I loved it, and ofcourse I thanked him for the great concert and went on a picture with him!

Chad Gracey was talking to the group with some friends of mine when I arrived there, and after a little chat, he showed us a video of his son, who was drumming on his toys, it really looked great, a new talent I tell you.
I told him, he should upload it, it really was great to see.
And ofcourse I went on the picture too.

Good set but I would have dumped "All I hear" and "Sing" instead of "What's wrong" and "Nothing but love".

Here is a translated Dutch Review I found on: http://www.rockportaal.nl/index.php/live/t...erdam-23022011/

There are some nice photo's too!!

The Gracious Few – Melkweg (Amsterdam) 23/02/2011
Datum: 24-02-2011
Door: Marvin Hendriksen en Lucky Hendriksen

The Gracious Few, The Gracious Few. No, this name does not ring a bell when I heard it. Luckily I got help from 'De Melkweg' that indicates that these are the 'restart' concerning the remaining members of the band Live. Ed Kowalczyck went solo and the rest quit too.

Still there was something brewing. Chad Taylor, Chad Gracey and Patrick Dahlheimer came together and there were sparks flying. Little by little the songs were taking shape. They asked Kevin Martin, lead singer of Candlebox, to take on the vocals. After that it was a smal step to get guitarist Sean Hennessy into the heap. The result; rock in its purest form.

It will probably take some adjustments for these gentlemen. After world tours, festivals and so on, they now performed for a handful of die hards in the Old Hall of 'De Melkweg'. Fortunately as time passes it got more crowded. It is not sold out. But that's not a bad thing, there are only fans in here.

No youngsters, but only music lovers, who came to Amsterdam for a fair portion of rock. My enthusiasm decreased somewhat, because the gitars had to be tuned and plugged at ten to nine, and it took them some time.
Three quarters of an hour after the actual starting time, the lights finally dim. The room is ready. Guitarist Chad Taylor pulls his leg somewhat, which made me think he was the reason for the delay.

The band kicks off with 'Closer', a song which tells you what to expect. The style reminds me a little of "Live", although this music is somewhat heavier in this form.
The beauty is that this quintet is not trying to copy. On the contrary, they have a unique sound of their own. Not innovative, but the quality here is top-notch. The music is a bit slow although there are catchy sing-alongs among them. It is clear. Here are some men who are playing what they like. Off course, they all have earned their tracks in their previous musical life.
With the infectious enthusiasm of a group of youngsters, the veterans take off the roof. Besides the fact that the music is really good, the voice of Kevin Martin fits perfectly to this band and their music. Due to the large range and great variety in his voice, he does handle both the ballads and the rough work very well. The band, and especially Chad Taylor and Kevin, do not seem to have enough space on the small stage at the Old Hall.

I have rarely seen a band giving such an energetic performance. It looks like they have to prove themselves again. And maybe they feel that too, somewhere in the back of their minds. It has become abundantly clear after the concert, that this is not necessary.

Despite the somewhat short set of seventyfive minutes I am standing outside a happy man. This is a band we will certainly hear more of.
