I had hoped that the Secret Samadhi Churchbox Sessions would be released sometime now,...but the news on this is very quiet.

I know, I have no reasons to complain, but I am sooooo curieus about this, as SS is my alltime favorite Rock album ever.

Today, I have started some photoshopping for this album, they have to make it as big as a DVD, so there is a proper place for a great booklet! tongue2.gif

gorgeous Wildman!!!

I love that picture. I especially love that it's also a picture upside down. I've seen someone with the tattoo - but it was upside down on his calf - which I thought was cool. when he looks, he sees the album cover, when you or I look, we see the happy face.

I don't have any tattoos and don't expect to get any anytime soon, but this would definitely be one I'd consider (were I so awesome as to be able to pull it off - which I'm not. I would instead get a cutsie little flower or butterfly or something trite and awful smile.gif )

(also, if you have a tattoo of a flower or butterfly - I'm sure yours is fine. mine would be trite because I'm not hip)

where does that face come from anyways? who created it? is it some recent artist or something much older from some tribe somewhere?
or was it made for the album specifically?

I never looked into that.

After close examination of his stick figure drawing and the SS drawing I have concluded that Ed probably did not draw it.

I think I asked Chad Taylor that question on facebook (or maybe I just meant to do it and never did) but I've done all the google research I could stand, and I could not find out where it came from.

Liner notes say: art direction and design by Frank Olinsky, Tim Stedman, and Todd Gallopo
and then the photographer is credited. so those three might have just been in charge of the photo shoot?

I have no idea. if anybody has a clue, I'd love to know. the liner notes don't specifically credit the image.

http://music.msn.com/music/album-credits/l...cret-samadhi.2/

CCP listed as composers. huh.

and Tim and Todd get credit for Art Direction, Design

but there's still no mention of the imagine, right? or is art direction, design code for "they made the cool two-way face" ??

I emailed Frank Olinsky and asked him. he has a pretty impressive resume - I looked through other album covers he's done on his website. I'll let you know if he gets back to me.
