Throwing Copper is great. No doubt about. It is epic. It is perfect. It is a milestone. It is a dream-come-true for any band.

But, that being said, I had to vote Mental Jewelry.

MJ is a masterpiece. It is an achievement. It is as much a "concept album" as Pink Floyd The Wall or The Beatles Sgt. Peppers. It has a unifying purpose and theme. It is DEEPLY philosophical. It is raw. It is passionate. It is urgent. It teaches you something new about yourself and society every time you listen to it. And I never ever get tired of listening to it. Hell, I just listened to the damn thing in my car at lunch today. It is incomprehensible that a group of teenagers from a Sh*t Town in Pennsylvania Dutch country came up with that thing out of the gate. I will go to my grave saying that it is the high-water mark of all album making in the history of music. That is not hyperbole or exaggeration. I believe that in my core.
