The "I" in that song title HAS to be referring to Jesus. That itself is pretty bad as far as the prospect of this new music goes. Ed couldn't be referring to himself - that is too egotistical even for Ed. Ed usually masks his egotism enough to retain plausible deniability.

Ahhhh, whatever. I am back to not carig what Ed does.

That is because those that heard the song know it is trending in the direction of SFBM III (Alive II) and don't want to say anything.

I have already lost any and all enthusiasm for this new Ed album/song.

"I'm the Proof" was also included on a recent setlist, but Ed didn't play it. This means that the song is probably finished and at a stage where it can be performed.
