I completly understand why the most people on this board hate Ed. I can't help it, but i still like Ed. I still love his voice and the songs he wrote. His lyrics are since 2001 are a bit 'weird' but i'm still a great fan of Ed. His music is still good for me.

Ryan, I don't think people on the board "hate" Ed. To hate someone is to wish ill will towards them. That doesn't apply here. I think the board collectively, is just disappointed. CCP are probably disapponted. They see the whole thing as a huge waste. I mean it's one thing to commit a wrongdoing. Hell, we're all human. The problem is there has been no contrition from the wrongdoer. We all want to forgive, for Ed is still a brother. He just won't give us the opportunity. As soon as he does, Ed will be square with me.

I still enjoy and turn up the radio when the songs come on and Ed singing.

I think I had actually lost some connection to those songs with Ed's transformation over the years. Strangely, having CS in the fold performing those songs like they were 15 years ago has brought back my passion for the EK versions as well.

I agree with your thinking. We can't dismiss those classics at all, just your present state of mind, feeling when hearing them over time.

For me hearing them on the radio especially brings back a flood of memories. Hearing EK's voice is a little harder now to listen to, knowing the stories connected to the voice, but never the less I love those songs especially if it comes from MJ, TC, and SS.

I totally agree. Chris's arrival has certainly reignited my LIVE spirit. Not for his abilities (for they are abundant), but because I think the guys are happy again. Happy band + happy fans = kick ass rock and roll. Ed helped develop that spirit. His voice (certainly pre-2000) personifies it; therefore, a joy to listen to once again. Now it's time for CCCP to kick it up a notch.

A friend of mine posted something on FB today by Christian philosopher Oswald Chambers. It said, "Not every man can carry a full cup. Sudden elevation frequently leads to pride and a fall. The most exacting test of all to survive is prosperity."

I don't know that I agree with that last part, but the bit about elevation frequently leading to pride and a fall sure rings true enough.

Exactly, I told the story of what happened here, Ed was eaten by a wolf and was replaced with an Ed impersonator called Eddie K.
