Overcome (Australian single) - 2001

FORMAT: CD single
PACKAGING: Slim jewel case
CATALOG #: 155 915-2
BARCODE #: 0 008815 591522
MATRIX #: 0145558 01 IFPI L681 SMEA
STICKER: 1.5625" in diameter

TRACKLIST:

[4:16] - 01. Overcome [Album Version]
[3:01] - 02. Overcome [Acoustic Version] *
[3:22] - 03. Simple Creed [Acoustic Version] #
[0:00] - 04. Overcome [Enhanced Video]

* Recorded at 89x Windsor, Ontario.
# Recorded live on October 3rd, 2001 at the Philadelphia Spectrum.

Proceeds from the sale of this CD single were donated to the Rudy Giuliani Twin Towers Fund.

There are two instances of image editing errors on the front cover of this release. Right above the black stars to the extreme right and extreme left of the bottom of the cover, you can clearly see black blotches which look to have been left from a paintbrush type of tool from an image altering program. The error seems to be corrected only on the European 2-track CD singles.

*****

The Overcome video is a low quality .mov file. It would have been good back in 2001, but in 2012 it just doesn't cut it. It's the version with Ed at the World Trade Center site.

The tracks were ripped from a CD and tagged. MP3 and FLAC downloads are available.
Also included in the archive are some scans (taken from http://www.livediscography.com)

For anyone interested, this CD single is currently available from the Freaks4LIVE.com store. If you're like me and attempting to collect older LIVE releases, then it's nice to find a factory sealed edition of a single from 10 years ago!

Thanks for the upload Dan!

Thanks for letting us know that the Freaks4Live.com store is selling this item. I didn't realise this. Since this CD is currently available for purchse, I have removed the download links. Please purchase this disc if you want it.

I've taken a closer look at the disc that is being sold at http://www.freaks4live.com and it seems that they are selling the European version of this single. It only contains Overcome (LP) and an Overcome (acoustic).

Even though the version I uploaded is different (the Australian version also includes Simple Creed [acoustic] and the Overcome video) I'm hesitant to post links. When the version being sold at F4L sells out then I will re-enable the links. Alternatively, if you can show me that you've purchased the disc then I will email you the download links.

I bet I have 3 or 4 of them. I gave them out as Chrismas gifts that year because everyone I knew was in love with the song. Plus, didn't we get one from Homespun that year? i think we did. Or with any order from the website. Anyway, I like the acoustic version of Overcome.

Hello there lol.gif

First off, I would like to thank you for your site smile.gif I had stumbled across it a number of years ago, but lost track of it sad.gif I am back and found some nice files to replace lower grade ones and some I didn't have.

I had just purchased the Overcome CD single and hoping you can PM me some .flac links, as you so kindly offered yay.gif

Not sure how to prove I purchased it, but you can probably figure it out. If you need, I have an order #967

Thanks lol.gif

ha ha... lol.gif

When I signed up, I failed to notice that my "default" country, was Afganistan yahoo.gif Thought I corrected it, but appearently not (difficulties of registration, led directly to my screen name wow.gif )

I have been following Live since MJ and kinda tailed off the last few years. My music collection is absolutely MASSIVE and not enough hours in the day to listen to all the stuff I already have. I find myself digging back into some of these bands I followed for soo many years and got a bit inspired. I am going to pick up the Amsterdam DVD and rip it to a pair of CD's when it arrives. I was considering the CD version, to keep it simpler, but alas it has fewer tracks sad.gif In fact, the DVD is still short a number of songs from the two shows in which it was filmed and ***HERE*** is a link for info.

Anyway, looking forward to hearing the CD I purchased with some alternate versions of some familiar songs.

PS. I am from the good ol' U.S.A. rockin.gif

It would be nice if you could share the MP3's of Wings and Mirror Song from the paradiso concert!!

And welcome to this board, this is not really the right topic to introduce yourself, but it's ok for me.

I really thought you were from Afganistan, but i don't think Live has some fans over there.

Again, welcome to this board. And feel free to share music if you think you have got something.

AOM.

Thanks and will do thumbsup.gif

I did skip the intro section, so will head over there and make a link to here blush.gif I just ordered the DVD, so expect to have it here by the end of the week. I will rip it to .wav files and place the Flanders Expo, Ghent 12-9-99 looking for a home, on the tail end of the second disk. I will add a few singles and such, including the Overcome CD I just purchased lol.gif

I bet there are plenty of Live fans in Afganistan, but probably not as free to express it, I suppose sad.gif I will look through my stuff and sure I can find something cool that I can load up for my pepes here. I will look for something that is OOP, so as to be respectful of those who make/create/distribute the music we all love thumbsup.gif
