The "Ed Kowalczyk" section was available for a very short period of time when the site was launched. The Ed section is no longer there. Here's a screen shot that was taken 5 minutes ago showing the available forums.

thanks for the info Dan. (I check this site 4 times daily, still not that one).

either way, even if CCP were trying as hard as possible to cause Ed's failure, it's still not acceptable that he promotes himself in a way that makes it sound like he's still in the band.

OTD, I was soooo tempted to read what he wrote based on your response, but I held strong. but if what he wrote is that LIVE would somehow not be allowed to re-record the music they actually own (as does Ed - 25% to each of the original 4 is how I understand royalties are to be split on sales) well shit that's funny.

Anyway, good news for me is LIVE is back - and awesome! smile.gif
Ed will figure it out eventually. I hope he doesn't have to get sued again to do so. (and it does piss me off because I will always love his voice, and I just cannot give him my money if he's being this much of an ass)

there is no legal issue on the matters of C&C&P re-recording Live catalog. Ed get's his 25%.

Oh god don't tell me he's going on about what is and what isn't legal without giving a shred of evidence to support why he believes such things are fact? sarcasm.gif

The way Ed allegedly just stole from Live I think real fans should boycott his shows. Shit I even boycotted Live towards the end of their last run because I got tired of seeing Ed do the same boring crap on stage everytime.

I think everyone needs to spread the word about Ed and his allegedly theiving ways.

Ed pulled off the amazing feat of turning this one-time die hard fan so sharply against him that I will never see one of his shows or buy any of his music or merchandise offerings again. And I was a huge supporter of his. He influenced me to read Krishnamurti and Ken Wilber. To listen to Genpo Roshi. My love of Live was fueled by respect for Ed's lyrics and what he represented in music. But wow. After a rash of him personally dissing me, watching him personally diss his friends, inside stories that I know about his character and conduct, what he did to Live, and his BS pandering and exploitation of his fans with the goal of personal gain... He has turned a very loyal fan completely against him. I Alone tour. Humph. I could care less. I hope he really is alone on stage in front of an empty venue in every city. He deserves nothing more.

And isn't that just the proof in the pudding right there? You have all these people who thought Ed was amazing, who hung on his every word, couldn't get enough of him ... now how many of these people are utterly disgusted by him, that sort of thing doesn't "just happen" or happen by accident.

I know exactly how Fish feels. I once too was a huge Ed fan before I found out about his infinitely shady ways. Sometimes I wish i never knew the things I know about Ed but you cannot unlearn what you have already learned. I think Ed's fanbase gets smaller everyday where, clearly, Live is getting new ones.

it's easier not to be wise

and measure these things by your brains

I sank into Eden with you

alone in the church by and by

I'll read to you here, save your eyes

you'll need them, your boat is at sea

your anchor is up, you've been swept away

and the greatest of teachers won't hesitate

to leave you there by yourself, chained to fate

Ed is a much better man now than he was from 2004 before. Since then he has always been pleasant to me personally when I encountered him after a show. He seems happy and content nowbeing able to run his own show without the constraints of being in a band.

I wonder where the decision to have it pulled came from.

I can't see why the guys would have pulled it. Ed's people maybe?

In all honesty, if Ed came to play the 'I Alone' thing down here in SA, I'd go see him. If not for his music, then just to pay homage to a guy that brought so much happiness to us for so long.

Just as long as he leaves that drummer at home.
