It is funny how Nick always whines about the "brand" of Live but what he fails to realize is that Ed CHANGED the original Live brand.

Ed changed and went away from what was working. Now the Live brand is a mixed bag of all sorts of things, Christian Rock being one of them.

And now Nick is complaining that CCP and Shinn might damage "what is left" of the Live name. Ridiculous considering Ed did the damage in the first place. If anything CCP are Shinn are trying to salvage it.

lol

"Heard a lot of talk about this Jeeeeeesus, a man of love and a man of strength
But what a man was 2,000 years ago, means nothing at all to me today

He could've been telling me about my higher self, but he only lives inside my prayers
So what he was may have been beautiful, but the pain is right now and right here..."

Oh yeah, "Christian rock" indeed. facepalm.gif

2 minutes 25 seconds into the "Stand" video made me especially pukey.

I'd never seen that either! The video gave me a weird experience... I've seen ed singing for years and know all the lyrics so I could sing with him if I wanted. I don't know this song's lyrics (because Ed isn't worth following anymore) but the video has a crowd that could sing the song with him. Why would they know the words? Were they paid? eh.gif

The Rock N' Roll HOF in Cleveland sucked anyway. It probably was the worst HOF I've been to.

I can't see LIVE getting in.

Obviously they were coached before hand. Really, it's only a line from the chorus...not too hard to learn! And they could of pulled that from anywhere. When I went to an Ed show, it went quiet when he started to sing his stuff.

My little kids told me it was a Christian band when I first started playing LIVE in their presence.

TDTH was very often assumed to be a Christian rock album - I even had to do a double take on some lyrics when I first bought the album. But I know a lot of my friends thought They Stood Up For Love, especially, was a Christian song. Especially after the obviously not-Christian lyrics of MJ, TC, and the who knows what lyrics of SS...

Grace was a huge radio hit in Australia, and Stand received a ton of airplay as well. It is not surprising that fans would know the lyrics to those two songs Down Under.

More than likely it would have been a "guys I need you to help me out with this one, the words are...." which I guess isn't uncommon.

Did they have to read the lyrics off a sheet like Ed does in concert? facepalm.gif
