Thanks so much for the videos Thrill! OTD I'm afraid Thrill has you beaten there tongue.gif but hey anyone who is lucky enough to be going to these shows now and shares that experience somehow with the wider Live community all around the world gets major credit for doing so!

Yeah, but did either of you film it in 3D?!?!

I will watch Thrill's video today on my laptop. But last night, as I have every night for the past week, I watched the you tube videos. Last night was OTD's WD video. That is just epic! I have never seen Patrick so animated. Live obsession is in full bloom in my house. Heck, with all of this rock n roll, I decided to follow though on a lifelong goal and I went out and bought an electric guitar which I hope to master.

Thanks again to everyone for making all of this so much fun and getting the information out.

Patrick has just come alive ( happy.gif ) going by those videos. Maybe having Sean next to him rocking out is rubbing off on him?!

As much as I'm enjoying the iphone videos, I really can't wait for the pro versions lol.gif No offense guys!

Fish, I started to teach myself guitar late last year...unfortunately I only lasted about 6 weeks....but same deal, all the inspiration from my fav bands!

Hey OTD, check out Thrill's I Alone video again. CS puts down his guitar half way thru the song and you can hear feedback coming from it. CT walks over and turns down the volume knob. That's hilarious. I hope no else mentioned this. I can't keep track of all these posts.

I saw it as I was filming it. The reverb was much louder than what came on the film!! I think it was going to be painful if it was let go.

QUOTE(The Thrill @ Mar 20 2012, 11:08 pm) *

OTD. Your video skills / sound suck (inferior android crap) . Im uploading mine. - So if someone can find my youtube channel and repost the videos, have at it!
The lighting guy was abit HIGH, so the lighting sucked a bit. I did try to get shots of the crowd and how they reacted. Here is my review.
NOBODY in the crowd cared that a new lead singer was on stage. They wanted to see LIVE and they saw LIVE. There was not one dissapointed person in the crowd. Their only complain was they wished it was a longer set and they couldnt get enough of LIVE.

About 30 minutes before the "Special Guest" was going on, they actually wrote on the door "LIVE" next to special guest. I was outside and a lady came up to me and said "do you know who the special guest live is" I said "yeah, its LIVE - the band" she went nuts and somehow used her womanly charms to get past the bouncer into the show. Another funny moment is when they started to lay out the LIVE merch - another lady came up and said "wow, they are selling shirts from my favorite band" She thought maybe they were selling it because members of TGF are in LIVE. When she found out LIVE was about to go on she almost fainted. Then she took out her credit card and purchased her very own CCCP t-shirt! BOOM!
And just like what was said prior. Once word got out on the streets that LIVE was playing it was a mad house oustide. The line stretched all the way around the corner down to the next block in front of another venue. It was insane.
My only complaint of the whole night was that it should have been a bigger venue. If they had a 2000 seat venue, that place would have been filled without question and people would have been still outside. If they had actually announced it more than 30 minutes prior who knows how many would have shown up.

Awesome videos my friend. Many thanks.

Random thoughts, there’s a lot of reading still to catch up on, boards are active. Been away since Strand due to work and life.

From being at The Strand and seeing the videos, how great is it to see these songs being played w/ the passion they deserve again? Back to original versions, no falsetto and cheesy dance moves. They’re into it again, big time. You have to be happy for these guys, and anyone that rediscovers their love. This is their life’s work and they have a reignited passion for it. You just don’t see bands together since middle school. Anyone who is, knows or deals w/ musicians know and appreciate this.

After SFBM a part of me wanted it to end. It was over, it was obvious, I’m a realist. I like my Live with balls, and those are back. I was embarrassed seeing (and for) Ed's teeneie booper dance moves. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings, we know about the past. I wouldn’t want to see Ed back, he’s in a different place…and if that’s where he’s been striving to be his whole life, good for him, I don’t concern myself with how other people live their lives, much less someone I don’t know.

It’s great to see from all the encounters w/ Chris Shinn that he’s regarded as a great, down to earth guy. I like it, he’s obviously a great personality fit and he fits the material great, while only trying to be him. The fact that the Live culture was just good people is something that I think struck a chord with all of us.

Addition of Sean can only make them stronger musically. It won’t be the same lyrically because Ed wrote much of those we all know. I am fine with that, that doesn’t concern me. What moves you inside at your core is the music. Gives you that whatever it may be…that head bob, that smile, that groove, the gals and their lovely moves.

Please NEVER AGIAN end with LC or DWY. When a show is over, you want that run over feeling. The mutual feeling from crowd to band that the show is over. WD was always what did that. I have varied tastes, but if anyone is a Rage Against The Machine fan, they will tell you after Freedom is the last song of their set… you’re all done, everyone.

Looking forward to the next show and running into everyone again. Happy Easter and enjoy your 3 day weekend (if you got one). As usual, I’m on the move..3 states in 3 days.
