He should sell used cars. He would be good at it. I would love to see YouTube clips of Ed selling used Dodge Caravans to christian soccer moms using a falsetto voice. In fact, that is the only thing that Ed could do right now that I would pay money to see.

That would not surprise me one bit. His ego will eventually be his downfall. I have no doubt he figured he would be Sting and Live would be the Police and they'd just call it a day. CCP had other plans though and Ed is now virtually out of the picture in all regards. Plus he's hardly established himself as another Sting. CT has always been a very savvy businessman and CCP together are a very powerful musical force. I think Ed really under estimated just what they are capable of and over estimated what he is capable of. There's no denying Ed's talent. He's still a good songwriter, even if I don't prefer his new music. His transformation as a person though will be his downfall. It's affecting everything he does, including his music. I really don't think he'll be happy playing the small club circuit as a solo act to a few hundred people. I really think he expected to do much better and If he hung it up or tried to patch things up with CCP it would not surprise me one bit.

Just hilarious. I mean, honestly, that is the funniest thing I have ever heard. The irony is great. He stabs his friends in the back then QUITS the band and is all bent out of shape they got back together without him.

Want to know why he is bitter? He has seen the reaction of the Live community and the relationships CCP have made via TGF and Candlebox and he knows that Live has a chance to make some money again. It isn't because of anything else other than the fact he got left out of the money. He cares nothing for CCP. If he did he would have returned any of the MANY attempts at communication.

I hope he does stop touring and recording. I hope he finds Jesus at the bottom of a bottle of whiskey and then kicks down the door to a Live recording session, grabs a mic, high-fives Shinn, and they both sing Stage like it was 1994.

That is the only possible and exceptable scenario.

my first instinct was that this was a joke - you just being sarcastic and funny and projecting your wishes...

it actually doesn't seem entirely impossible. so what's sad about that, especially if you just made it up to be funny, is that it makes so much sense.
Ed's plan was clearly not to play coffee shops. but that's where he's headed. I do think it's cool that he's managed to find a way to tour parts of the world LIVE's never been to... those places do have huge missionary establishments, and billed as a Christian rock artist, he should be able to do well. But in the US, he's pretty much a no hit wonder on his own.
