this arguing is such bullshit....I will always dig what Ed did for me musically and spirtually...but I am not jumping off this new 2.0 at all...

He clearly is a journeyman singer, and when he is covering LIVE tunes he is definitely a cover singer.

I usually feel badfor you and feel like people give you too hard of a time. I do not feel that way anymore. You are going out of your way to ruin the positive energy on this board and are making people dislike Ed more than they already do because you are associated with him. Please stop. Live 2.0 might not be everyone's cup of tea but its very disrespectful of you to come on the boards and ruin the fun for everyone who is excited. Grow up.

I'm hearing alot of people accepting "Live 2.0" to describe LIVE. Nooooo! LIVE is LIVE. It is an essence, a spirit propogated by four brothers back in the day. One brother decided he wanted something different. A new brother was brought in to share in the spirit. "Live 2.0" is one of Nick's top 5 labels meant to divide. Do not accept this. Now, I think a new era or chapter of LIVE is applicable. I'm just guessing that Nick's labels are meant to be derogatory, not complimentary. I could be wrong.

That is a good way to get certain fans to walk out of a "LIVE" show when they see someone other than Ed fronting the band.

Yeah maybe, good riddance to them. If they didn't know Ed has benn out of the band for 3 years, then they aren't true LIVE fans.

I only write Live 1.0 and Live 2.0 when it is necessary to make the distinction between Live when Ed was the lead singer and Live when Chris is the lead singer. Otherwise, I intend not to make the distinction. If I ever do it when it is not necessary to make a distinction for clarity, then it is inadvertant.

There should be no doubt. The band that I saw perfrom Monday night was Live. And it got me more excited to listen to my old Live albums and look forward to a new Live album and look forward to upcoming concerts than I have been in a long, long time. And I could give a sh*t whether they sell lots of albums or sell lots of tickets or whether people leave the concert if they don't see a bald head on stage. I know how I will feel about it. And Live is my passion - which just kicked up a few hundred notches.

I promise to ignore after this...ARE YOU SERIOUS???? DO YOU EXPECT THEM TO PUT LIVE 2.0 ON A MARQUEE. THAT WILL ONLY CATER TO YOU AND SO CALLED FANS THAT WIPE ED'S ASS ALONG WITH YOU. DON'T BOTHER RESPONDING BECAUSE IT WILL BE ANOTHER DUMB COMMENT THAT LOWERS THE IQ OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY USE THEIR BRAINS.

Many "true LIVE fans" are going to expect their lead singer for the past 20 years to be fronting LIVE unless a clear distinction is made beforehand.
