QUOTE(brett @ May 19 2006, 10:05 pm) *

congrats on your stick.
your story mirrors mine.
him catching you getting. me catching her gettting.
and I was rewarded on the way home! the benefit of a hour and a half drive. eyebrow.gif

we stood outside waiting for awhile to see if there was any chance of seeing the guys and she was waving her stick around cause she was so happy and finally realized she better tuck it away.
nobody asked to touch her stick but she did comment everybody was looking at it. ha.
right then I realized I made the correct choice in giving it to her.

nod.gif I bet my boyfriend thought the same thing too. Oh so many ways wink.gif to reward a very generous and giving boyfriend whistling.gif . Kinda risky while driving. Glad you made it home safe. lol.gif

38 shows = 0 sticks for me. Matty & Tim ripped my fingers off in Philly with the stick THEY caught. First time I even made contact with a stick and those little jerks with a man-crush on Gracey broke my hand over it.

The little bitches.

I got one after the Ithaca College show in 2003, it was kinda by accident since my friend and i both caught it, but he let me have it since Chad Taylor had thorwn him his glasses earlier in the show....

Hey I just saw your screen name for the first time........did you come up with it because of the book?

I love that book one of my favorites.

i got one. marked with a 1 by chad himself as I'm told, he marks them differently before he throws them.

interesting.
not sure what the 1 thing is all about.

My first one I bought off e-bay. Never thought I'd catch 2 in the future!
It say Millennium II pro-mark. Has Chad's full signature. Chad A. Gracey.

The second one and first one I caught says Millennium II pro-mark has CAG sig he uses today and the Live logo used from TDTH.

The third one and one I caught the other night has the CAG sig, his name spelled out underneath it, the Live logo from TDTH and pro-mark but no Millennium II.

no #'s on any of them.

FYI...

Chad's sticks are numbered pairs for when he is playing. His drum tech goes through his sticks before each show and matches them in pairs corresponding to their weight, so that they are balanced when chad uses them.

Wow, now I really feel like CLiff Claven.

Dear Cliff,

so why don't the two drumsticks I caught have #'s on them?

Your buddy,
Norm

He also keeps some that he throws out to the audience to the side that aren't in his stick depot. That would be my guess, at least. One show I saw his tech hand him some sticks before throwing, maybe those weren't marked...

...It's a little known fact that...

Love the Gracey (GOD) threads...wish I had more to contribute to this one...

Here's my stick history: Have never caught one myself, despite 26 shows, being tall and almost always right down front, and having CG puposely throw a few in my bro T and I's direction after harssing him the whole show...however, T got one a few years ago and had a 2nd one, but gave it to an 8 year old girl at her first show (and she was down front!!...she deserved it, we figured..hope it makes her a life-long fan)

Oh, and T apparently ripped one from Janice's hands at the Electric Factory show (while knocking me to the ground) smile.gif
