He didn't take his shirt off, but he did make out with Chad Taylor's face. I'm not kidding.

When he took off his jacket I was super relieved that there was something under it.

He did get really fresh with CT wink.gif but then again I might do the same if I was getting the chance he was to front the band I love and respect.

Has anyone mentioned how hard Pat was rocking? He seemed really animated, which was a lot of fun to see.

About The Thrill... I have no doubt that the build-up of energy and excitement for the Dam At Otter Creek opener would not have been as epic if it wasn't for The Thrill's introduction. He insisted that the band would not be coming out until the crowd was very loud and raucous and he stirred the entire theater up. As the crowd waited for the band after Bill's introduction, I think that Bill's challenge was in the back of everyone's mind and it made the crowd work a little bit harder to welcome the band into a loud theater.

Pretty good chance I'm one of those guys who was screaming above the crowd.......I was pretty much insanely loud all night, and I swear it wasn't the alcohol flowing.....I was high on +LIVE+ again, the +LIVE+ that pumped me full of energy at the age of 13 and made me want to follow these guys all over the country. If you aren't excited you aren't alive.

What a rush reading this entire thread late on a thursday afternoon. Fish mate, FANTASTIC photography. You should be Live's official touring photographer. Ask them, you might get a job doing what you love. Seriously. Adam Taylor reads these forums, he's using your stuff. ??? This is not an unrealistic pipe dream. This could and should be your gig.

Funkyrecaboose, you clearly are a professional article writer, no? That write-up deserves publication, man that was inspiring and top shelf. And Good Pain's review; intimate and joyful! Didn't realise your history with this band and community was so involved. It almost makes me embarrassed of the stupid drunken posts and flippancy i so frequently expose everyone to!

Whats going on here is almost like a dream. Im at the point where i wont be embarrassed telling my friends that Live is my favorite band. Who woulda thunk it a few years ago? That a little rock band from smalltown USA could, 25 years on, generate this kind of passion, energy and love of the only fucking thing that matters, the music!

I LOVE the fact that this massive homecoming event can be celebrated yet also honestly criticized by true fans and not degenerate into spiteful negativity. The new singer screwed up some lyrics, was nervous, lost his way in places, yet here on these forums we hold him up on our shoulders like a sporting champion that has just taken home the championship trophy! We WANT him to succeed, we WANT him to lead this Live army into battle and be inspired. The setlist left some to be desired, the closer could have been different, we aknowledge but go on the journey WITH THEM and can talk openly about our feelings without there being an atmosphere of taking sides and being politically correct about the whole affair.

Nick im sorry, but you can clearly see in this thread that we are capable of healthily criticizing our "idols" if you can even call them that. Whereas you cant even bring yourself to say that Ed screws up here and there, its all light and rainbows with you when it comes to him. This chris Shinn dude fucked up at times and thats a beautiful thing. The dude was playing live songs on his guitar as a kid. Now he's in the fucking band!!! I would KILL for that opportunity if i could sing or play a guitar or write a song or get a weird ass haircut!!! How many times ive sung TDAOC in the mirror when shitfaced imagining i was the singer in front of a sea of people, and this motherfucker got to do it and motherfucking owned! I hope he reads this thread and sees the support he actually has and gains a shitload of confidence from that, because at least then it wont be misplaced confidence like the other guy. Shit man, really?

This is a new era. What do we call it before the album drops? I spose it's already unnoficially been recognised as Live 2.0, which isnt a bad thing. I like it. Fucking call the album that. fuck'em

someone come up with a new Live logo design too. just do it!

Wow dude, just wow!

That's the most I've seen you write in a single post I think - cohesively! (haha, seriously), but buddy you echo the feelings and thoughts of the vast majority of us here. I think generally when most of us discovered LIVE we didn't have this platform, where we could share our thoughts and feelings about this band and their music with 'people like us' who understand what it's all about (not in an arrogant or elite kinda way) - but we connect with the lyric and when we hear Pat's bass, we can instantly and instinctively imagine him eyes closed, head back shaking his head to the rhythm he is laying down, or CT's calmness then suddenly erupt into a stomp, leaping deceptively high into the air for a dude his size might I add, and still keep the song going or CG's apparent concentration for 90+ minutes holding it together all the time.

This is what brought us here in the 1st place, and it feels surreal to us now that we're connecting as fans with the common taste for raw, passionate rock like on Mental Jewelry, Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi.

Long may it continue, cos I'm having a fucking blast with you awesome motherfuckers.

And trust me, if we get together with Wildman, there is no way escaping his charisma. I have tried it myself, believe me smile.gif One of the most nice and down-to-earth people I ever met. Then again, after meeting, we immediately became frienda and it;s been 5 years since I can call him one of three best friends in my entire life and I fucking love this fella. Hope he does not mind public advertisement like this lol.gif
