By the way, I know my photo site discloses the name Todd, which may or may not be my real name, but I prefer to go by Fish around here. It has sort of grown on me, and I have gotten used to my alter ego.

I watched the DAOC video many times now and Chris's performance of it, the raw nature, the intensity....

THIS.. Is it exactly. I kinda skipped the other last posts or so, so if I'm derailing or repeating just ignore me.

Chris' PASSION and excitement and intensity were just... amazing. It's what won me over.

I'm tired of comparing the two, as a matter of fact, there is none. Ed is Ed, Chris is Chris. They don't sound alike, act alike, or perform alike. And I love that fact.

Sorry, Poke - I thought you were the resident FOL Romeo, and since the photo site I posted didn't have any pictures of Kate, I thought the picture of Dana might suit you. I'll stick to my day job and leave the jokes for the professionals from now on.

I have a video clip with HORRIBLE audio (apparently being too close is a bad thing), but its still video of the last half of TBD. ALSO!!! A great up close shot of Memphis....

All in all I think you'll like it. Just don't hate on me and my awful sound.

Horrible audio but AWESOME visual, you still managed to capture a hint of the atmosphere, you could just tell the power when the song exploded that Shinn has the goods to deliver! Sean ripping it up on the strings too was ace! And some Zman for good measures trying to operate one of those new phone contraptions!
We'll take whatever we can get at this stage, thanks for sharing!

Oh my Gosh that is classic. Thanks for posting that. That was awesome. That took me right back there. It is almost appropriate that the audio is mumbled, because it leaves you concentrating on the visual, which is great.

There are a couple of things in there that I wanted to put in my review but didn't. There were a bunch of parts where Shinn was just totally "in the moment".

Did you see the part where Chris was posing his head and then he crouched down with his back to the crowd and grabbed the back of his head? I snapped some photos of that.

Then Memphis went off - those are the photos of Sean that I posted at the end of my series of shots.

Then Shinn walked around the stage like he didn't know what to do with himself as the bass and guitars and drums washed over him. He walked back and forth and then he picked up the megaphone and walked a few steps with it and then threw it down on the ground. He threw the microphone on the ground and it made a huge loud thump over the audio. He grabbed that mic stand as if he wanted to do something with it, but didn't know what he wanted exactly, and then he moved on. He was crouching down and stuff. He was clearly in the moment.

Then at the end of the song, he got emotional and put his hands over his face.

At the end of that Youtube clip, the music stopped, the stage got dark and the whole band just exited stage left without waiving or bowing or anything and that was it.

Can't you see how nervous Chris is in this one? It is completely unlistenable, but let me treasure this one as well! It perfectly captures the moment. Chris is outta his mind on nerves, but he tries to find his place on stage, looks for it, walks here and there, and how he bends his knee before the band and then Memphis takes his place and he is a full-on frontman without a mic, all he needs is his guitar. Judging by his movements, he did something immence with his guitar there.

And oh holy shit, how well built it all looks, and I love the way we get a glance at how Chris is building his presence becoming a frontman of the new band.

Yup. Exactly that. I was about 5 feet to the right of where that video was taken and again, the youtube clip doesn't even do it justice. But from thousands of miles away, you just surmised exactly what transpired. Think about what you just described and then stick your finger in an electric socket and you'll be getting close.
