I recently said that, "'Simple Creed' is the beginning of the end for Live."

I'll conclude that though by saying, "Their appearance on AI marks the end of the end for Live."

I feel the exact same.

At the Philly show the other night, my buddy asked, "Isn't Live just bigger in your mind? Isn't this venue too small for them?"

And the answer is, no. It's a perfect size for them. They can't sell out arenas anymore, or even outdoor venues. Live caught that last ship out in the mid-90s with alternative rock. I love them and their music, but the major party is over. Music has changed so much and honestly, Live wrote better, more meaningful tunes at age 18 as opposed to age 34.

i don't know, last year they had lynyrd skynyrd & live are megastars compared to skynyrd these days.

by the way, i watch idol too and am not ashamed. i find it quite entertaining, and i think if it is good enough for queen, it is good enough for live!
thumbsup.gif

Yeah you are correct. Lame-ass Skynard was on last year. hhhmmmmm.
And yeah i also agree with the Queen remark. Boy, they really looked pained, especially Brain, being there though.

Will Mystery be released on Itunes this week? If so, expect it to skyrocket. There has been no info of this being released as a single. I guess it should be out on Thursday though? I hope this all clears up soon!

If they DO fail to have Mystery available for download by Thursday, that would be terrible promotion. It would likely be in iTunes' top ten (or even five) based on the strength of AI.

That doesn't make any sense. How could appearing on the most popular music show on TV equal "the end of the end"? If they gain success from it, it could be the new beginning they need. If they do not, then it was really already over.

Because many, the major public and most of Live's die-hard fans, considered "V" a joke.

I would say most of consider AI a joke as well. I only watched MAYBE 30 minutes of it during it's 5 year run or whatever, and it was only to laugh at the people who don't stand a chance and try out.

Well then you just don't like the show. I bet Kelly Clarkson is pretty happy with it. Live would kill for half the success that show gave her over the last 5 years.

Yes, the end of the end.... and a new beginning. How is it possible to talk about the end of a band that gains new fans and reaches top positions in European and Australian charts? The fact that you do not like V (i don't like it either) does not align with the preferences of many Live fans out there. Live still rocks.
