Yes, let's. With the way he performs, Ed definitely IS the cover band these days. He's a nostalgia act at this point. Neither is exactly classic Live, but this is so much closer than Ed it's not even funny.

Ed solo acoustic is the way to go.

Why aren't you giving LIVE 2.0 grief for basically playing the hits and no new material?

I answered that question for you already, go back and read it. Unlike you I answer questions put to me rather than dodging them. So again, when are you splitting with half of that fanbase and getting out of here?

Sorry, but he was the one bitching about Ed playing the hits like a legacy act.

Hey guys hi.gif

I know I'm late to the party, but DAMN - what an exciting night in the history of +Live+. This is really exciting stuff, can't wait to hear more - hopefully a full audience recording pops up soon.

LJ, I Alone & DC

If you cycle backwards past the black crowd noise clips there are also a couple of snippets of interviews with CT, including this gracious remark :

"One thing for sure is I'm not me without Ed, and he's not me without him" ( lol.gif )

"So that brotherhood and that bond will never be broken, regardless of whether we stand on stage together or not" smile.gif

Because you are too lazy to read anything directed to you, I'll answer your question AGAIN, since you never answer anything directed at you.

Live coming back, with a new singer, and playing in that harder style that has been missing for over 10 years makes all of those songs sound fresh. It was a rehearsal with only 11 songs, a sample, the fact they put in 4 that have been long forgotten is a good sign. The fact they played no new songs on their very first rehearsal show does not concern me as they want to keep that tightly under wraps and they WILL be playing new songs, we know this for a fact. They played all the hits, yes, with an 11 song setlist and on a proper tour they will play 18-22 songs maybe, that gives heaps of space for new songs and even more hidden gems, dude this is NOTHING like Ed.
Lets say Live 2.0 launch a tour with an 18 song set list, and then 4 years later they're touring with basically the same set list, then you might here me arc up a bit and give a bit of grief, but come on dude, after one show with even less songs than they would play at a festival, the fact you're trying to make this into a thing is just showing how desperate you are.

Ed has been touring with the same old shit year after year after year after year. He says he is moving on and then loads his setlist with the same old stuff. Live say they are Live, they play Live songs, they said they were delving into the old gems and they showed us a sample of that. That's all this was man, it was a taster, a teaser, a test run, quit your fucking agenda and split with your casual fans off into your own little place where you can happily follow Ed and realise that for you, the Live journey stops here. You've always got the old albums to listen to, but as of now, it's over for you, pretend Live is no more, focus on Ed, leave the rest of us alone in peace and quit getting so fucking hung up over the name.

If there was ever a time to not play all the hits, it was a hometown show filled with family members and invitation only fans. LIVE 2.0 is no different from Journey, Foreigner, or any other legacy act with a new singer. Pokey's double standard is alive and well.

Double standards? YOU sir, are the king of double standards, Ed and Live are in 2 completely different situations. What do you even care, all you want to hear are the hits, do you even know the words to TBD yourself?
Live in their own way are a legacy act for sure, as they are "off the market" so to speak, its not about money or charting or massive sales success anymore, they have their foundations to work on and now they're just going to hone their craft and have fun. Obviously you can't understand that because your mind works in a different way to most human beings. But, they're still going to offer a hell of a lot more than what Ed is offering, which isn't much. I'd say they're very different to Journey and Foreigner in the sense that Live is actually good.

So, I take it you're leaving now right? You know, since your curiosity is now satiated and you asked to be counted out, you're logging off and going to spend your days on Ed's facebook and twitter instead? I don't see anyone else here saying I have double standards like you're constantly told that you do, you should just go man, no one wants you here, you're not serving any purpose, the only other Ed fans that actively post here are even saying they're sick of you, you're not doing anyone any good other than to serve the purpose of trying to upset people, the very definition of a troll and therefor should be banned. Seriously WHAT do you offer this board? and WHAT does this board offer you? You just can't answer that can you after I've asked god knows how many times.

You don't like new Live or CCP, we get it, you've told us 5000 times, how many more times can you say it? You're not changing anything by saying it, if that is the only thing you can talk about and say over and over, letting us know all the things you disapprove of, then you've done that, mission accomplished, we get it, now go away because you have no other reason to be here do you?
