I'm glad there are no new songs right now. Not ready for that. Need to see how I feel about CS first....need to hear some stuff more than anything!! Then the time will be right. From what has been tweeted tonite, I don't think anyone is gonna have a problem with CS though.

OTD, I don't think that's an up yours anymore...all the kids (or cool people) seem to be doing that as greetings!

We all ran into Shinn after the show on our way to the White Rose. He is such a nice guy. Total anti-diva, and genuinely grateful and humbled by the Freaks outpouring of love. I love love loved him and the energy he put into the show. It was a big difference from the last show I saw. And the set list? Even Patrick's mom said that she was happy to see them play songs they hadn't in so long cause other band members didn't want to.

So. All in all.... I'm thrilled with the change.

Who was it? It was Shinn, I believe, who said "We are here to celebrate Live tonight".

I know you're right, we should ignore him, but this is the thing, we are passionate and fired up. If he thinks the fanbase will split then he should show us that by splitting himself and leaving, the fact he refuses to stay weakens his argument.
And good riddance to the fanbase splitting, losing some people who thought SFBM was on par with SS is no loss, being surrounded by the type of people who went to and loved tonight's show - that's the fan base we need, not cry babies.

For what it's worth, I've been a fan since I first heard LJ on the radio in SF Bay Area baaaack aways in time. I remember the moment vividly, it's crazy. I'm so stoked for this return and to hear this music again! I'm a silent follower of this board but just had to thank the peeps at the show tonight for sharing the fun!
