Why should he?

It's LIVE after all. Not 3/4 of LIVE buddy. Understand now...this IS LIVE.

Ed may have been a member - and we will always remember that - but he is now 1/4 of the band that is LIVE without him.

He can never be LIVE on his own.

Also, CCP have never said this is a NEW BAND as Ed has proclaimed himself to be - new solo material excites him...i'm sure.

CCP have always said this is LIVE - a continuation of the legacy they started back in school.

Probably the refresher LIVE needed - the LIVE fans I know here in SA who shy'd away from the band, have felt that LIVE went soft after TDTH, some after SS...

If it's back to the old-school style of rock music - can't please everyone, but certainly more win-win.


Some fans will be happy, other fans will reject them replacing Ed and keeping the name LIVE. The setlist isn't much different than a show with Ed.

It will further split the fanbase.

No, we will be hearing them sounding fresh, new voice and with the power of the days of old in the music, with long forgotten gems like Freaks, Sparkle, TDAOC and TBD in a small sample size set of only 11 songs keeps me very hopeful that they are exploring there past work. If Ed ever brought out TBD I'd give him credit, but he won't because there's a risk the bulk of his audience won't even know what it is, he doesn't take risks because he can't afford them.

Time for you to go Nick, to go and start your own Ed forum.
