Eh you guys, the reason they were booked is because the contestants get to sing with their favorite band right? Chris has said Live is his favorite band, and while he isn't on the show anymore he still gets to sing with his favorite band at the season finale. I would imagine that Sony had to do some politicing to get them on the show, however it never would have happened if Chris had not have said that Live was his favorite band.

That said, should be big for the guys.

Wow, the best opportunity a band can have.

I have never watched Idol, but I will be watching Live on Wednesday.

I hate American Idol. I never watch it and basically could care less about the radio friendly shiney happy people. Yeah, it's good exposure for LIVE, I guess. I mean obviously they want to appeal to the masses now. Too bad. I wonder if the next step is to sell Lightening Crashes to COKE or Sprint or something

In a way its good.....then in a way I absolutely hate it. American idol is just on huge disappointment. I think its kind of low that they should perform on there.

To get more ratings I'm sure Fox would have preffered to get the hottest act in music right now instead of Live.

i don't know, last year they had lynyrd skynyrd & live are megastars compared to skynyrd these days.

by the way, i watch idol too and am not ashamed. i find it quite entertaining, and i think if it is good enough for queen, it is good enough for live!

Of course I'll be watching. I never said I wouldn't watch. I just hate American Idol. And I am a true fan, contrary to your implication, I just like to explore different viewpoints. I never really gave a crap whether Live was radio friendly or not. But obviously they want to be now. Fine. American Idol was the last place I expected them. But fine, great for them. I guess I am always fearful that bands may sell out, not that Live has intentions of doing this...but I really hate that when that happens.

Gee, so sorry that I irk you...you must be really sensitive or maybe just quick to judge.

I have been a true Live fan from the beginning. I am new to this board and I am open to having discussions with out being insulted! It's fine to disagree but to be rude to someone is just not cool.

They only want to be radio friendly now? I could've swore they were radio friendly back in the mid 90's. Or did you complain then too?

OK, what band doesn't want to be on the radio. What band doesn't want to make money by getting air play and exposure? And this sell out thing you talk about....this is the year 2006 look around you, bands are in Ads and on cheezy shows everywhere you look. What is so bad about a band putting their song in a commercial? Again would you turn down money just because you don't wanna be a "sell out"? I hate that term it is so stupid and holds no meaning in today society. They are in a business to make a living. And thats what they are doing right now. If you don't like it, thats your problem not theirs.
