If you could pick the opening song for Monday what would it be????

My vote would be for The Dam at Otter Creek, complete with blinding white flood lights synced with Gracey's drum beats as the song ramps up...... It's been a long time since I've seen that..... banana.gif yahoo.gif rockin.gif kicking.gif guitar.gif

DaOC is a good choice. Has that ever been the opener? Over the years, one of my favorite openers has been Simple Creed, just because it had such a great energy when they performed it...

So... I feel like I'd want something with a ridiculous amount of energy... and something with some kick ass bass (I love when Pat gets to shine!) Heropsychodreamer would completely set the place on fire. In my mind they walk out on stage in silence while we hoot and holler like maniacs and then as we settle to a dull roar... Gracey just starts it off... cue lead singer walk on stage... BAM.
Show's on FIRE!!!
and 2 hours later I go home exhausted and completely without a voice...

well, that's how it's going in my mind. thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif
Holy shit I really don't think I'll sleep. I cannot believe I'm going. Holy shit. This ROCKS (I told a coworker I haven't been this excited since my first orgasm happy.gif )

DAOC was a big time opener during the TC tour.

As for Simple Creed, I'd be willing to bet that we won't be hearing much if anything from V, BOP, or SFBM, and personally that's a great decision. If they plan on playing from older stuff, keep it focused on the first 3 albums, maybe sprinkle in a bit from TDTH.

1. I agree, leave V alone... I just really enjoyed the energy of Simple Creed as an opener.

2. Opine - come on, you know what I mean... everything's scary and new and WHO KNOWS what will happen... (I may have exaggerated... but I'm seriously excited)

Oh, I know, DQ =).....I think it's great that you're so excited and you get to go!
And I loved your comparison.

I think they should open with The River, then Home, Sofia Wings, Show, Get Ready...

I dont think you will hear any of those ever again.

I just came from a full fledge rehearsal. Start to finish...no stopping. I really dont think anyone is going to be ready for what they are about to experience. Its perhaps the best opening to any show I have ever seen from any band and it ends insane. The night was palpable.

Rattlesnake, DAOC, Operation Spirit, Take My Anthem, Lakini's Juice... those are all killer songs to kick it off with.

If that is the setlist I may have second thoughts about attending, haha.
