Will the new lead singer Monday officialy be announced?
I mean, not only for the people at the concert, but for everyone in the world?
And everyone who is going, please post a setlist!
it also would be nice to see some pics.

Well. Seeing as how we aren't under strict confidence anymore (I was told if I spoke of this event before the 18th I'd been tarred and feathered), I don't see why it wouldn't be public news once he's on stage.

I genuinely believe that this sort of shake up within the band will revitalize the fan base and bring back fans that bailed out when they were alienated by Ed's latter Live song writing and actions.

Here's what I want to hear / see (in order of preference) after this show:

1. High quality recording of show
2. The entire setlist
3. Who the singer is

If I get #1 I can live without #2 and #3

I will be there Monday night as well thank God (and my buddy Possum). Can't wait to see/hear the show and get the Live machine rolling again. I still have my doubts it will work in the long run, but now is not the time for that bullshit discussion. It's time to bask in the glory of having 'my' band back! I'm willing to go into this with an open mind and just enjoy the ride (again). I wish the boys the best of luck, and I will be forever loyal. Monday can't come soon enough....

I am sure once they play, an official statement will be released from C&C&P in the very short term.

Live to introduce new lead singer March 12 in York

Ed Kowalczyk's replacement in the band Live is male.
He inhabits the rock genre.
He'll be the band's youngest member.

Hynes said Taylor, Gracey and Dahlheimer own and control the Live name. He added that the three members reached out to Kowalczyk as they searched for a new lead singer but didn't hear back from him. Emails sent to Kowalczyk's press contacts were not returned by late Tuesday.

"They couldn't have picked a better person," Hynes said. "They're working very hard, and I think they're going to blow people away."

Man, what a decent and good people they are, that they keep contacting the man that (if it's true) stabbed them in the back. But still they want to reach out to him showing their good will and heart. Only respect for them, knowing what they must have been through after the break up in 2009.

What I don't understand btw, is why different articles keep calling 2008 as the year they stopped touring (not this article, others). And they do quote C, C and P, so it's not that they are informed incorrect.

I think the guys are bang-on the money by not announcing the new lead singer, yet.

Rather keep it hush, get on stage and do the business there and let everyone make up their own mind about LIVE.

I don't think the rest of the world cares anymore about the genre in a non-commercial sense; and it's not mass knowledge that LIVE 'split' in 2009, so by going 'out there' as LIVE and doing what they do best, no one would care if it's a new lead singer or not - in an ideal world you'd hope the music would be enough to wow us once again, and hopefully for CCP and new lead singer's sake, generate some new interest in LIVE or rekindle old fans spirit.

All I know is that we're really fortunate to still have LIVE in any capacity at all to begin with and I know it'll all be worth the wait - cos that's what LIVE do - they make it worthwhile even with shit like SFBM - we went to the shows and bought the CDs and we're still yapping and arguing about shit that don't matter to anyone but a few 1000 of us.

Go on boys. Rock their fucking socks off! Bout time.
