I can play every one of their songs on the guitar well. Live's music is probably among the easiest to play.

I've never tried to play anything, but I could play any of Live's music on the guitar without any practise. It's bloody easy and I have perfect pitch.. Though I don't tune down half a step so I'd have to play up a semitone, or use different chord inversions. Both would piss me off so I'd probably end up tuning down. smile.gif

One of my friends gave me a guitar right before he moved away. I told him I'd try and learn to play...it's been sitting in my room for 2-3 years now. Never had any real desire to sit down for hours and figure it out, but I always thought it'd be sweet to learn some Live songs, especially since y'all say they're easy because I know NOTHING.

Is there a site that shows how to play Live songs? Is chadtaylor.net a good one?

What are the coolest songs to play if it's just you and a guitar (I don't have a band)?

Granted, I'm not a guitarist, but I do play drums and learned to play them solely because Throwing Copper kicked so much ass after the first time I heard it. I can play just about every song off of MJ through BOP. smile.gif

You could do all their songs just you and the acoustic guitar...I play their songs alone and with the guys sometimes...either way...its good to work on the songs to know them....and as far as the guitar learning to play...I taught myself....by ear only.dont really know notes...but can figure songs out in less then a minute by listening to it....

but live songs are ridiculously easy.... and what do you mean by 'its good to work on the songs to know them'?

In fact I'm unsure as to what a lot of your post means.

merry christmas either way.

most of their songs are fairly simple to figure out, but i don't play them enough to set down and just play it, i usually have to take a few minutes to remember how the song is played. i love pat's bass lines though. i picked up a bass a few months ago, first bass i've owned in 15 years, my sole inspiration being several of pat's bass lines. white discussion is so simple, but so much fun to play! i have more fun playing live songs on bass than guitar.

hey dan, why doesn't pat have his own emoticon?
