Are you saying that the guy that LEFT Live singing Live songs and naming his tours after Live hits is perfectly okay yet the three that didn't leave Live can't continue on being Live?

LIVE 2.0 is a bit about sales and drawing for concerts. If not, CCP could start an entirely new band with Chris Shinn instead of creating a less successful version of something that peaked in the 90's.

Except LIVE is a brand name, even if it does not hold the clout it once did. 3 of the 4 members decided to use it. Majority rule. That simple. I really do wonder why you keep criticizing them for doing this but have no problem giving Ed a pass for using the name "LIVE" in just about everything attached to his name?

Instead of just enjoying the new version of LIVE, you are still intent on knocking Ed. Someone is still bitter over The Gracious Failure that came before.

The LIVE name alone will draw some fans in, but way fewer fans than if Ed was the frontman.

As I said, I would love for Ed to come back with CCP to form LIVE. However, I would hope that Ed will still continue to perform solo even if/when that does occur. I also hope that CCP using a different lead singer doesn't damage the LIVE touring brand that was still a strong in 2009.

How do you bill LIVE if Ed comes back after you already replaced him? I guess that is a question to be asked down the road.

the same way Van Halen did it when they replaced David Lee Roth and then brought him back. How did that work out? Van Halen was MUCH MUCH bigger without Roth who thought he was irreplaceable.

You can say what you want about the break up shouldnt have happened or they shouldnt go out as LIVE. Your wrong. Your also wrong saying TGF is a failure. If your saying that, your saying ED K is also a failure on his solo tour. Once again NICK, TGF out sold Ed in every venue they both went to last year. In addition, TGF generated more revenue. Ed has to go on tour, have a full band, paired it down to 3 guys and is now solo. Why? well besides his musicians suck. He isnt getting PAID. Nobody, ok maybe 50 people will want to see him now that LIVE is back. Ed has to tour tour tour, TGF is doing one show - and making more on that one show than ed is making on 10 shows. TRUTH.

In addition, TGF is not their main gig. LIVE & Candlebox is. Candlebox is out supporting their new album, they are playing to great crowds and have a massive tour. LIVE has been recording and writing new music. TGF will be back with more music. Now, someone tell me when I havent said something that hasnt come true on this board.
