As for Kevin Martin's commitment to The Gracious Few, actions speak louder than words.

How many times do you need to be told that there are 3 functioning bands at play, hell 4 if you count Sean's side project, then also CCP's extra curricular work, we have been told that TGF will return in its own time. Yes their original plans changed, but really what is that TO YOU?
But yeah, again, you know better than the 5 guys in the band and the people who speak to them here directly semi-regularly.

Dude, just ... ah I dunno, it just doesn't surprise me one bit that you're the son of a politician, it just sums it up so well. You're a lost cause man, you don't like Live 2.0, you don't like 3/4 of Live 1.0 and yet you're still here to shit on their next move because your boy isn't involved.

See this is a prime example of you not being right, but thinking you're right, and you think the fact that you're right is getting under people's skin, when infact the thing that is getting under people's skin is the fact you are so far off the mark but insisting you're right. This thing is never going to end and my god when Live release their new album its going to be a damn shit storm around here with you telling us all the "facts" as to how bad it is because Ed isn't involved, and the "facts" of what would have happened if Ed isn't involved.

The fact is that Ed is a washed up nobody in the grand scale of things and that Live are such small fry that the entire thing, Ed or no Ed, matters to only a small handful of people in the grand scale of things. So really, who the fuck cares? Focus on the MUSIC, you like Ed and don't like anything else so go and focus on that.
Worrying so hard about "success" with those involved here is like worrying so hard about the "success" of a runner who is never going to finish better than 8th in a race. Forget the numbers, forget the sales, forget the attendance, forget the charts, just ... the music, man.

Nick, keep on agitating those people....youre blacklisted anyway.

Did you honestly expect that the bulk of The Gracious Few's touring to end within 6 months of the album release?

Seems reasonable considering all of the other variables. But you're not a believer in all of the other facts, only that they didn't tour more and it's some indication that the band is done. Your statements are never factual because you leave out 99% of the fact. The only true part is that they didn't tour more. You make up all kinds of bs as to why and ignore the reasons that are regularly presented to you. You're delusional.

Pokey spelled it out....you're either too stubborn or mental to u understand all projects are active and will be in play. You've.been told 10000 times of this but you have a block. Sucks to be you. CC&P have many things irons in the fire, business, philanthropic and band all at once. Touring is all Ed has, period!!! He chose his path, he chose control, he chose alienation......what have you got? NOTHING!!!!

I'm right way more than I'm wrong. I think that is what gets under people's skin more than anything.

There have been multiple instances of people who are directly connected to the guys in the band telling you how this or that is. What reason does anyone have to believe you over them?

I'm not saying you won't, what I'm saying is that Ed on tour is good enough for me. I liked LIVE for their music and touring, not for their projects outside of the music industry.

Just a whole lot of bitterness and sour grapes up in here from someone who can't handle the fact a lot of us are excited for a version of Live that doesnt contain his man. Sorry Nicko but you can try and ruin the new Libe experience for us all you want, but in the end we are getting our way, and you're not smile.gif
Ed on tour is good enough for you? Then why don't you just stick to that and close the chapter of Live and move on. This is a fansofLIVE board with a sub Ed section, not a fansofED board with a sub Live section. Just accept the fact that what is happening now is making a lot of people in Live land very happy who have been unhappy with the Ed regime for years. We don't need Ed to make us happy.

This is an interesting discussion going on right now.  The way i see this board in general is that if you like Ed, you are just factually wrong for liking him.  And if you dont like everything connected to cc&p, you simply have no taste in music and human decency.

Nick gets way too much attention from you guys.  Buttons pushed easily?  He seems to be good at that.

I dont think anyone here cant see the fact that cc&p have a lot of irons in the fire.  What i dont understand is why thats looked at as something so grand ( general theme that i see in this board ).  Lots of people juggle multiple things and multiple projects in their lives.

Has it occurred to to you that what Ed has right now may be what he wants to have?  Does that mean he is unhappy and alienated?  Maybe he's right where he wants to be?  He chose alienation from what?  People he doesn't care to be in a band with anymore?  People who cant let go of the past and appreciate what he has to offer today?  People who have grown in a different direction than he?  People who dont agree with or accept his spiritual feelings and beliefs of today?  He has obviously changed (in some ways) from the boy he was in  the early 1990's.

Was there not some sort of split agreement years ago between band members?  Who is at fault for trying to stick around?  Dont give me that tired line of cc&p being somehow hollier-than-thou and sticking it out for the good of the band, the friendships, yadda yadda yadda.  Seems to me that Ed has wanted wanted to do his own thing for a while.  I guess he used the more talented musicians while he could?  Maybe he should have just left back then?  Where would that have put everything today?

I think if more people could understand and appreciate who we all are as individuals, celebrate for people when they follow their calling or have success, and simply hope and pray for those who need it, we'd all be a lot better off.  That might be getting a little too far into the spiritual realm for some though.

Another beer please.
