I disagree. Simply saying "thank you" might work in a public place. But this was Ed's 'room' after his show. Seems as if Ed saw the potential for something to materalize, and he decided it would be best to remove the catalyst. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

You'll have to ask him that. But he's obviously very close to them and wanted to pass on a message only to be rebuffed just as they have been. Doesn't matter what the venue is, the response is always the same.

Didnt Chad write a letter or FB message or something along those lines asking the fans to respect the fact that Live is moving on, Ed is moving on, enjoy the music, etc? I would like to think that CC&P's methods of reaching out to Ed would be better planned than to try to reach him at his own meet & greet. I am confident they have more sense than that.

I think they have moved on professionally but they should just give up the fact that they were practically family for over 20 years? They are showing reverence for EK and have wished him well in his new endeavors. You'd think maybe he could do the same. Like The Thrill said, promote some healing. People have fights, and sometimes the rift doesnt heal. That's ok. It sucks for those of us who dont want it to be that way, but its not our decision. I think its great that Chad came out and wished Ed the best in his direction. I also think it would be great if Ed were to do the same. He could do the same. So far he's chosen not to. Not our decision.

Healing is great. It gives us all the warm & fuzzies, right? But there is no one here who will determine the time and the place for that to happen. If there is one, it will be determined by Ed and the guys.

Ed didnt know this guy from a hole in the ground. I could walk up to Ed tomorrow and tell him that I am close personal friends and business partners with CC&P. It wouldnt be true, but Ed wouldnt have any reason to know if it was, or wasnt.

What's extreme about not wanting a potential conflict to materalize at a function that has nothing to do with the topic the question-asker is wanting to bring up? Couple that with the fact that this person has no business being in the middle of his personal business, and I'm surprised it ended as peacefully as it did. Like I said before, kudos to all involved.

Had the Thrill simply spoken to Ed instead of name-dropping 3 people he is currently arguing with, he would have had his ear for more than that quick moment. The pubic and private lives of those more famous than us are separate for a reason. Or at least they should be.
