Tgf vocally was painful so that was a big dissapoimtment. The other 10 people who bought it agreed

Kevin Martin has a very unique voice. Some like it and some do not. That is a fact.

It is no different than a billion other singers. Jack White sounds like someone is hitting a baby with a cat. I can't stand Billy Corgan, others love him. Hell, I know a few people that don't really like the voice of Phil Collins.

QUOTE
For me, there is truth in that. I very much enjoyed most of the music on the album. Was not the biggest fan of the vocals, or even of some of the lyrics. YMMV

I thought at times they were incredible and at times bland. Candlebox lyrics were the same way. Some songs blew you out of the water and others were pretty straight forward.

I will also add the only difference between Alive lyrics and a bucket of shit is the bucket.

I see Live, Ed, and TGF all being discussed here. Someone said that we wouldnt be disappointed with ANYTHING to come out of CC&P. Someone disagreed with that, using TGF as his example. Discussion ensued.

Lots of name-calling in here today.

so i guess ed is still in live since you started the thread with your redundant ed bullshit. lets not try to make the "new live" candle shine brighter by blowing out ed's. let it stand on its own merit.

Ed Kowalczyk: I really eased right into it. Being the singer and the main songwriter of Live for so many years the biggest change for me was changing personnel and new people with new ideas after doing it the same way for so many years. The timing was perfect for me, and it was a natural progression into a new phase. The most important part was the fans responded well.

Tell me about your first solo album, "Alive."

EK: It came out in the summer of 2010. I feel like the whole movement of this period of my career is getting people reconnected. The record itself is really kind of like me being me again to the intensity of what I was doing in the mid-90s, so that was really great to hear. The message is universal and hopefully a message of hope and peace. It's definitely a rock record.

The man has lost his mind. Obviously this board is not a representation of all LIVE fans, but it's probably a good pool of their longtime fans. Maybe someone should send EK a link so he can get a little dose of reality.

My redundant BS? Ed's candle in Live is not already blown out? My thread is sarcasm wrapped in some facts....but I know you a few others cannot see past ed's magic powers of seduction and want to step back and look at things on the whole here.

Let's cut to the chase......We have 2 undeniable facts.....Live was very successful as a collaborative unit, when that stopped and one voice took the direction of conductor, the train derailed in sections until the ultimate post crash investigation took place and it was found that the conductor booby trapped the rails!!!
