That is with one particular venues promoter, and it should be corrected. It is false advertising and isn't beneficial to Ed either because it isn't promoting Ed Kowalczyk.

It is false advertising and hopefully they correct it before the attorneys call and the crowd riots. Venue sounds shady to begin with.

So does the promoter of a venue have to get artwork approved? You would think Ed and his camp would want to know how he is being presented. Not just regarding "Live's" or "of Live" or whatever.

Ed's camp books the show. I'm sure they aren't aware of all local advertising techniques for each event though.

Yeah but he doesn't have the expense of touring like a large band like Live so he'll make more money.

Two things are possible.

1) Ed and his camp have stock photos (the black leather jacket death stare photo) and clips of text that can be used by local promoters for each venue.

But still, to not ask for approval in the end is bad news. Even if a promoter has all the right pieces they can still make a cheap looking poster and apparently add false text and that will cheapen the image and brand of Ed.

2) Ed has a team that creates these posters for each venue and sends them to that venue (same photos and fonts used). If this is the case someone needs to be fired.

I worked for a film company and both of these methods were used by us however people that used our media files to make their own posters or fliers had to gain approval and there were some HORRENDOUS ones made.

EDIT: The above is just referencing the artwork. OTD's quote of the local person saying it is Live that is coming is another issue.

Just like to add that the posters in this thread pretty much prove (not that we needed it) that Ed is completely relying on the past to even get people in the door. No mention of Alive or any of the songs off of it.

Everything on that poster is about Live. Everything. You could take out Ed and put CCP and the new lead singer in his place and it would all make sense without changing anything else.
