You just ordered a bag of coffee for no other reason than it's made by EK. I'd say that's exactly what he was hoping when he put his name on it.

Actually, I bought a bag of coffee because I've read countless posts from a bunch of jokers poking fun at it - and dammit now I'm curious to see if its any good!

If its good coffee, I'll keep it on my list. If not, then what did I waste, the cost of 3 cups from the local mega-franchise? I'll take my chances.

Do you think I buy Orvile Redenbacher popcorn just because the man put his name on the product? Or Newman's Own salad dressing? Or Ben & Jerry's ice cream? My Margaritaville flip-flops?

And I hope you know that he doesnt actually make the coffee.

Yeah, you made it clear you didn't care where you got your coffee fix. The reason it is being made fun of is because it's from EK. So you did, in fact , buy it because it's from EK whether you realize it or not. Personally, I prefer to spend my money with reputable sources, like the examples you gave above.

I will admit I got this as a collectors item, and not to drink

But this place is an actual coffeehouse in the KISS brandname.

So I got my bag of coffee in the mail. Nothing to write home about, but it was tasty. Very light bodied, I was expecting somehting a little heavier since it's called 'espresso blend.' More like a medium bodied columbian.

Its actually roasted by a company called Stone Creek Coffee Roasters. I would consider trying other flavors from them.

Ha ha, kind of like Ed's music. Expecting it to be heavy since he says it rocks like classic Live and getting light bodied christian pop rock. Sorry couldn't resist.

Awesome to finally have a review of it from a person who enjoys coffee. It sounds like I wouldn't really like it, but decent overall. Thanks!

Considering all the vemon that usually flys around about Ed in this forum in particular, that was in good taste, and actually kinda funny. Nice one.

Ed Is.........................

No Longer Selling Coffee!!

potential reasons:

a) inventory must be gone
b) supplier arragement contract must be up
c) tired of the jokes from most of Live's fanbase & former pals
d) realizes he spends way too much energy pushing merchandise
e) He is now a tea drinker

If you had told me 5 years ago that I would feel this way today I would have never believed you. I practically worshipped Ed, and most certainly respected him. But at this point, I don't even care what he does. If I was offered a free ticket to see him up the street from my house, I don't think I would take it - defintely not if it was with his band. I may occassionally care enough to criticize him when I get spurred by something he says or does. But my base line in response to Ed is that I just don't give a darn anymore. To me, in the circus of the music industry he is just a meaningless, washed up clown in the parking lot wishing he could get inside the tent and into the center ring again.

Ed isn't trying to get into the circus anymore. He is at the church across the street trying to get into the wallets of its members.
