Found it on Amazon for $7.99. I really like the sound of his solo album. If he is indeed the new lead singer of Live I cannot wait to hear what they put out later this year. Good work!

Listened through it. I enjoyed it. It is a solid solo album. Pretty laid back for the most part but you can hear a little more power here and there.

I hope he unleashes on the Live album (lead singer announcement pending).

I am always honest on here. I am not a fan boy. It doesn't make me happy to say this. But I have listened to 90 second clips of every song on Chris's new album. I watched the music videos and behind the scenes clips of the making of the album. I listened to Bound. And I don't really like any of it. It isn't my cup of tea. It sounds a little bit like it is in the genre of Cold Play. Clearly artsy. I defintiely respect Chris for what he is doing with this. I respect his talent and creativity as an artist. But I couldn't see myself listening to this album. I've heard Everything Is Energy and I feel the same way about it.

I guess I will wait and see what he can do with Live.

Hey, Fish, that is ok bro. It's a different style music project. He's teamed up with all sorts of musicians from early rock n roll days to create that. It's taken over a few years due to delays. It's really organic!! I love we had a good run & bound!!

It's up on Spotify. Just need there to be a CD release. Really like "We Had a Good Run". Definately more laid back than any of the previous releases he's done, but that's okay for me.

Being honest after my first listen, I don't really like it. It's a bit too, I don't know, precious, or "pretty" for my liking. I'll def give it a few more spins to see if it grows but not really my cup of tea. However, hopes still not any different for Live because with CCP bringing the magic I got no doubt they would pick someone who compliments them perfectly, so I'm not using this as any indication of what Live will be like. Oh, assuming Shinn is our man wink.gif

What I took away from it is that Shinn has talent and creativity. Should go a long way IF he combines with CCP.

The way I look at it is Chris Cornell always had very mellow solo albums. It was night and day comparing his solo albums to Soundgarden or Audioslave. It was like he was a different person.

I wouldn't worry too much about new Live sounding like this album.

Exactly, which is why im not so worried that this hasn't really grabbed me. Much more confidence in CCP and their creative choices, haven't lead me astray yet so no reason to doubt!
