I've been a number of Ed shows, the LIVE songs always sound good.

No, they don't. We've already established that you have a horrible ear for music.

Compared to his new music? Sure, because, in and of themselves, they're far better songs. But compared to how Live USED to perform them - how they should sound... very debatable.

To be honest, an acoustic Ed Kowalczyk show is the most authentic LIVE show any of us can get at this point.

I disagree. Maybe in the superficial sense of Ed being the recognisable lead singer / voice. But authenticity should come down to the group's initial principals, what they stood for, what the shows meant, what the band was about.

Is that Ed today? Or is it CCP?

Hmmmmm........

It was always about the group rather than an individual. When the band ceased to function as a group and started to function more as the outlet for one individual is when it ceased to be authentic Live. It essentially became The Edward Kowalczyk Band.

CCP have returned it to authentic status now that they've gotten the LSD-infected problem out of the way.

CCP with a Blind Melon reject on vocals? I will take the primary songwriter and voice of LIVE.

Which makes it all the more sad that Ed is trying to emulate Daughtry.

You're entitled to not like Ed's new musicians, just as I'm entitled to think that LIVE with a new singer is a horrible idea.

Daughtry is a douche, he sang Walk the Line (Live's version) and didn't credit them, he got caught and then had to fess up. Daughty is everything that is wrong with the music industry. American Idol shit. When Live was on there, I yawned very hard, I actually felt bad for them. I knew those guys probably did it as a last gasp.
